Embrace the essence of coastal living in this classic 2 br apartment. Directly on the beach, this apartment features spectacular views and plenty of space to make lasting memories. The Space: Battened Hatches is just steps from the beach. This unit is part of a complex called The Captain’s Fleet. In addition to Battened Hatches, the triplex has an additional 2 bedroom unit downstairs, and a 1 bedroom unit upstairs. There is a 2 bedroom oceanfront house on the beach. Each unit sleeps 4 people. If available, you can rent more than one unit at a time. There is assigned parking for each unit. We have a gas grill and shared laundry facilities, as well. There is a private beach access for the residents of The Captain’s Fleet. Please note: The bathroom is a walk in shower that is very narrow. Beach access points can be found on Coastal Hwy at even-numbered properties and on the 3000 block on S. Ponte Vedra, specifically odd-numbered properties. It is also an easy half mile walk to a Publix and a couple of eateries that we enjoyed. The location is great to sightsee in St. Augustine and Anastasia State Park. There is a lot to do in the area and the beach cottage was a great place to stay. ##### Christine K. It was the first getaway I have ever had with my daughter. We love fishing and access to the beach with our gear was so easy. I want to book this property again for all my children. Location was great - easy access to the beach. There was a problem with the cable tv but they did come right away to address it. The place has not had a lot of renovation (like the bathroom could definitely be improved), but it was clean so I wouldn't normally complain but I don't like insects! After I killed a 2nd cockroach, I was pretty grossed out about the place. ##### Rebecca T.
