Easy check in progress. Served great for our purpose--we needed a place to sleep. I would return for that purpose. But otherwise, I'd look to stay elsewhere.

The pool and hot tub were excellent, although the pool was listed as heated. It was nice to relax in the tub. Since this is a unit apartment and the owner is upstairs, I would suggest fixing the vertical blinds and maybe placing some curtains on the glass door that overlooks the main house for privacy.

Friendly and responsive host. Unit was clean and cozy. Description on listing is somewhat misleading. Stated there is a fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher, and yes everything but dishwasher is there but the fridge was mini, the stove is essentially a 2 burner hot plate, and the oven an airfrier/toaster oven. Could not use "stove top" and "oven" at the same time or blew a fuse. Also the pool was freezing and had to text host to turn on heat for hottub whenever wanted to use it.

Apart from the description and pictures posted being misleading, the space was not properly cleaned upon arrival. The space provided was the basement of the home pictured in the ad. The pool and hottub were not properly upkept, and we did not feel safe or comfortable as there were doors connecting to the other unit, that can only be locked from the opposite side. The "kitchen" is compromised of a mini fridge, a glass stove top and a toaster oven/air fryer. Be sure to bring your own sponge since the one provided seems to not have been changed in a while.If you plan to stay here with children be prepared to clean bathrooms, showers, and other surfaces upon arrival. Be sure to bring door stoppers for security measures.

Not at all what we expected…

This property was a huge disappointment and very misleading from the moment we arrived. It is listed as when filtered an "entire home," yet you can clearly hear people moving around upstairs, so it’s actually just a unit—not a standalone space. That in itself is frustrating, but unfortunately, it was just the beginning.The cleanliness was shockingly poor. There was visible mold inside light fixtures, stains on furniture and linens, dirty silverware, rusty fixtures, and random, questionable items scattered throughout the house including old press on nails, used cups, and half used bottles of personal products. There were strands of hair all over, ants crawling throughout the space, broken blinds, filthy bath towels, and overall a level of neglect that made the stay feel uncomfortable and frankly unsanitary.The decor is damaged and cheapened by its condition, and nothing about the place resembled the polished, curated photos in the listing. The images are clearly catfished, as the reality is far from what’s presented online.We ended up canceling the rest of our stay within just a few hours of arrival and moved to a hotel instead. It simply wasn’t worth trying to make it work in such a misrepresented and poorly maintained space.This was a frustrating and disappointing experience, and it’s incredibly disheartening to see listings like this allowed to remain up with such deceptive presentation. Would NOT recommend.

Nice accommodations with your own pool!

We had a multi-generational family vacation at this property. The grandkids loved the pool. We had several questions and the owner was prompt to respond and address an issue or two (nothing major). We enjoyed our time at the house. It was a very quiet neighborhood, yet close to several restaurants, etc. We traveled into DC most days - and with traffic and construction - it was about 35-40 minutes to get to where we wanted to go. We enjoyed our vacation very much!

Silver Spring, MD Leslie St

The Vrbo property was suitable for our needs as we visited to attend wedding. We were able to be together in one location and have time to socialize over the weekend in a relaxing environment and utilized all five bedrooms. The property was conveniently located in Silver Spring with super easy access to the Wheaton (Red Line) and shopping, dining. Plenty of parking was available and it was adjacent to cul-de-sac. In reading back at the reviews, some issues remain (sticky woodwork, broken cabinet doors). Toilet seat missing bolt unsecure, the bathrooms very small, the lowest level could have been cleaner. life safety guest concerned with the lack of smoke detectors in the lower level. The shower head in the pool was clogged/not functional. Supplied with sufficient linens and towels. The kitchen island was great! Large w/lots of cabinets. For accommodated up to 10 people, lacking coffee mugs/and wine glasses. The dishwasher very convenient! I understand the thermostat needing to be controlled, but the settings were inconsistent on levels and times of day. Maybe consider installing NEST for remote controlling when property is vacant. It certainly wasn't a 4-star hotel, but it was suitable for our 4-day visit. The property could use a refresh with paint and good scrubbing of walls, floors. I reached out to host in advance of visit (thankfully I had access code for entry in advance) because no response to other texts.

Not a positive experience

The pictures make this property look and feel a lot better than what it actually is. That neighborhood is not bad but when you first pull up, you’re kind of disappointed with the way the house looks but of course, there are no pictures of the outside of the home. Inside of the house is subpar. Cabinet doors broken, paint peeling, sticky counters…. Although the pool house is cool it is outdated. Hot tub jets do not work. Pool was super cold. Anyway this was not the worst of it. After driving several hours and arriving at the house, we could net enter the property. The owner never sent us a code. We made several attempts to contact them through the VRBO app, calling and texting to no avail. VRBO made attempts to contact the owner but he never answered the phone or texted me back. It got to the point that VRBO had to get five rooms at the embassy suites to house all eight of my family and friends. Finally that evening, the owner did contact us and give us the code. The next day we went to the house. This is where we found that the house looked nothing like the pictures. Fabreeze smell everywhere. Mildew in places, dirty in other. Signs asking you not to put rubbers in the toilets. The next day to our shock and amazement, another renter, who had the code came into the house. Evidently the owner decided to double book the home through another platform even though We were not due to leave until the next day. However, no longer feeling safe we left and went to a hotel.
