There were plenty of activities available. The driveway was somewhat precarious, for us, who are from the south. The only recommendations we would make:- Install a hand rail on the stairs that descend from the main floor to access the game room. - Provide outdoor lighting from the parking pad that leads up the handicap ramp to the main floor.Overall interaction with the owner was outstanding. It offers a lot of space to hang out indoors with activities like pool, games, etc. All while being secluded away from neighbors which allowed us to enjoy the deck, hot tub and fire pit areas. The house was clean and offered plenty of things like coffee, cooking utensils and towels.plenty of sleeping areas to accommodate a large group. Top bunks may not hold larger adults. We accumulated a lot of trash with paper plates, etc. The owner arranged for extra trash pick-ups for us. Also, we had a bear and her three cubs visit. There were 7 kids total and the bunk area/game room was a hit. The hot tub/fire pit area was great at the end of the night. We did a grocery pick up right when we got into town and that was perfect as once we got to the cabin we realized we were only going to leave once a day as it’s pretty secluded with windy roads. We cooked all breakfast/supper at the cabin and there were plenty of dishes to use for cooking. The charcoal grill was easy to use as well. I reached out to contact the owner and he immediately contacted them and had them on their way quickly. We went out to dinner and returned to a clean, beautiful cabin. Michael also waived the cleaning fee to make things right for our delay in enjoying the cabin. The location is very private and relaxing, yet it is very close to Pigeon Forge attractions. There is lots of sleeping space and bathrooms to accommodate lots of guests. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, corn hole and beautiful outdoor sitting areas in the evening and morning. Our stay was complete when we were able to sit on the porch and watch a mama bear and two cubs play in the woods nearby as we enjoyed our morning coffee. We would definitely stay here again! Several aspects of this booking made this a very positive experience: Location: This is a perfectly secluded spot in the Smokies. The silence was deafening - nature everywhere. It was wonderful. Driveway is quite steep, parking is limited, so be prepared for that. Facilities: Fantastic! Exactly as advertised. We had sleeping for 15 adults! It was crowded, but we made it work. No major issues with facilities, everything was clean and ready for us. Cleanliness: It looked like a model home when we walked in. Very tidy, very inviting. The pictures do not do this place justice. We were very impressed. Host: Outstanding communication! The online guest guide is a wonderful resource. Air conditioning was on, jacuzi was hot when we got there. It really felt like they cared about our stay and overall experience! Note: If you park your cars, be careful of the walnut trees! Those walnuts can fall (yes, it was the beginning of the Fall season) and smack your vehicles. But that's nature! Overall: 10/10 would stay here again. Floors needed swept before we could let the kids down to play. 2 of the toilets still had waste in them. Didn’t even bother to flush them let alone clean them. Beds had hair all in them and pretzels( we didn’t bring pretzels). Bottom of hot tub was nasty. Nothing had been dusted. Found socks under 1 bed. I contacted the owner, he promptly replied and offered to send someone. But we had already did what needed to be done. So he offered a refund on the cleaning fee. It’s now December 14th and I am still NOT refunded the cleaning fee. I had to contact costumer service to even get a reply message. Then that message was only to tell me he was waiting on pictures from his cleaning lady. I’m hoping to get the situation taken care of soon. If the home was clean, I would highly recommend it. We had plenty of room to spread out and the kids enjoyed the basement area. Everyone had a good time playing shuffleboard upstairs. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was mostly clean. The downstairs restroom smelled of urine - like an unclean floor around the toilet. There were some concerns with the staircases as the treads seemed very narrow - my whole size 8 shoe didn't fit on them. There is no handrail to the basement and it seems a little questionable at times. The screen doors need to be replaced and 4 of the red Adirondack chairs arms are put on the wrong side, while the other 2 are correct. It's true that there is only one small dining table but there are several TV Tray Tables that worked well for us to eat on. Bedroom and bathroom doors do not have doorknobs and do not latch. They have a sliding lock you have to use if you want them to stay closed. One major concern was the water - it smelled like rust or metal and none of us could drink it. We chose to buy several gallons of water to use for cooking and drinking. We knew something wasn't right from the stains in the toilets and bathtubs. I didn't address it with the owner while we were there because I don't believe it to be an easy fix. A couple of easy things that the owner quickly addressed was the lack of dish towels and an empty propane tank on the gas grill. Communication was quick and responsive. ##### Appen L. This provided the secluded feeling we wanted while providing everything within a short drive. While it may seem like a smaller cabin, the floorplan is phenomenal and provided plenty of space for 3 teenagers, a toddler and 5 adults. The cabin is well kept and maintained. We enjoyed being able to relax with all of the amenities provided. I highly recommend this for a family getaway, a group of friends or just a couple looking to get away. The host was awesome from reservation to checkout.
