Perfect weekend getaway

Great place for a weekend getaway. The cabin is cozy with beautiful scenery. The owners are great about checking in to make sure everything is good. We love hiking in the Smoky Mountains so we’ll definitely be back!

Great peaceful stay in the mountains

Cabin was pretty nice, definitely feels like a nice safe area. Nice views and worked out great for our family. Driveway is pretty steep and would probably need 4wd in the snow. Speed bumps in the community are a bit much. Overall great time experience

Wonderful stay

We had an amazing time! The cabin was exactly what was advertised and it was beautiful! It was clean and well stocked. Beds and couches were comfortable. We had to reach out once about how to work something on the hot tub but he responded quickly and helped us figure it out. It was close enough to everything to do what we wanted but far enough to relax and enjoy our time together. We will definitely be staying here again.

Quite and relaxing

The house has everything you need for cooking, very clean. We had 2 minor issues that were taken care of very fast, Rod was easy to get a hold of and very helpful. The best part was relaxing on the deck with a cup of coffee. Thank you for a great visit

Quick girls trip!

The property is super close to all the action, but still feels secluded. Check in was a very smooth process, and Rod was super responsive and accommodating. I would recommend this cabin to anyone and look forward to booking with Rod again!

Beary nice cabin

My wife and I wanted a quiet weekend away from everything and this fit the bill wonderfully. We stopped for supplies before our arrival and just hung out on the deck enjoying the peace and quiet (hot tub too!)

Great Cabin!!

Great Get Away

Our family of four had a wonderful stay in this cabin! My boys loved the hot tub on the deck and we were thankful for all of the amenities such as plenty of soap, toilet paper, kitchen items, trash bags, etc. Good communication with the owner! Thank you!

Great Cabin!

We celebrated an Anniversary weekend with my parents who share the same wedding anniversary as us. This was the perfect cabin for what we needed and we enjoyed the quiet views and proximity to everywhere we wanted to go.

Superbowl Family Weekend

My family had such a wonderful weekend! We all met up for a late Christmas and Superbowl/Puppybowl weekend with our babies (both 1 years old.) The cabin was clean and the perfect size for our party of 6 and our babies had more than enough room to run and play in the open living area. The hot tub was nice and warm with the cold weather, the fire was also nice and cozy! We prepared breakfast 2 mornings and a full Superbowl spread in the kitchen with no lack of supplies, even had plenty of foil, cling wrap and seasonings to use! The water pressure in the shower was fantastic. And last but certainly not least- Rod and Julie were amazing! The communication was top tier with warm, welcoming kindness. We've stayed rented cabins for 18 years and never had the attention to detail that we had with Rod and Julie. We will definitely be staying with them again!

Lovely cabin

We loved the cabin and all of the extra special touches. The jacuzzi tub was my favorite and one of the main reasons my husband booked. This was a much needed getaway for us. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

Awesome vacation

This rental was amazing! Perfect for our family. So many things to do we only left twice. My son always wanted to swim in the pool (hot tub). It was very clean and had all of the kitchen materials needed to cook! The view off the porch was breathtaking and never did get old. Thank you so much! We will be booking again!

Wonderful stay

We spent 10 days at this cabin for our honeymoon. The owners were great and very responsive to any questions during our stay and before our arrival. Driveway was a little scary and steep but was easy once we figured it out. Location was great. 15 minutes to the strip. The cabin was stocked with everything you could need and was much cleaner than expected. This was our first time staying in a cabin but we will definitely be staying in one of Rod's properties again. The only complaints were that we could not figure out the gas fireplace and that the couch could use an update.

Great Getaway!

My spouse and I really enjoyed our getaway to this secluded cabin. Took about 20 minutes to get into Pigeon Forge from the cabin, mostly because of the narrow, winding roads, but it is a beautiful drive. The driveway to the cabin is steep and narrow and a bit tricky to get into (sharp turn), so don't plan on bringing your motorhome or trailer, although you could park it across the road in the swimming pool parking lot I would guess. The pool was still open while we were there in mid-September, although we didn't take advantage of it and were busy just lounging on the deck or in the hot tub. We really didn't realize the pool was open since we didn't hear anything from it all the time we were there and didn't actually go look at it until the last day and realized it was still open. If you come with others, keep in mind that the main bathroom that has the tub/shower is only accessible through the downstairs bedroom, so it could be a little awkward if someone is sleeping on the sofa bed and has to go to the bathroom at night. But it wasn't an issue for us since we were the only ones there. Not sure if this is an issue or not, but when we went to fill the upstairs jetted tub, we ran out of hot water before it was filled. That may have been affected by either running the wash machine or dishwasher at around the same time, and we never tried again to see if we could get it filled and use it. We did not experience any issues while we were there, so didn't need to reach out to Rod for any help;, so the only communication with him was a welcome text from him. I believe he would have been very responsive if needed. Good internet and TV's in both bedrooms and living room that has lots of channels to watch. Overall a great experience and would definitely consider this place again if we go back to the area in the future.

Comfortably retreat!

My family of four (Mom, Dad, teen, tween) all enjoyed this cabin! The main thing I want to say is how comfortable everything was. It’s never good to go on vacation and lose sleep, have a back ache, or struggle with make shift situations. The owner said in his advertisement that they spared no expense on the beds and this were found to be true! The pillows were new fluffy and comfortable. The living room couch and love seat were comfortable. The kitchen table was a perfect place for our gathering. The sleep was great, the relaxation in the hot tub was so perfect. We’re played a lot of old school arcade games and loved it! We observed that every product provided was exceptional quality…not the cheap stuff, thankfully. We loved our vacation here. The driveway has a hard right turn at the entrance that might shock you, but it is fine even in full size for for trucks! The Shagbark community seems so quiet Anna cute!
