It was just minutes from many stores, restaurants, and attractions. It looks tiny from the outside but surprisingly it felt so spacious inside. It was nicely updated too. Only a short drive to everything in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. All was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. Calling it riverside is a stretch as the river is not visible until the torrential rain swelled it up. Three windows have no covering at all which allows clear view of the kitchen dining area from outside. Also view of Bathroom if you don't close the bathroom door. The hot tub is also in full view so we did not use it. The kayaks were not something we care about. It was a good experience but next time we will want to stay in the mountains. My husband and I took our 3 grandchildren to the Gatlinburg area for several days and this house/cabin met our needs to a T! It's very handy to travel to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and is located in Sevierville. Our two granddaughters each had their own bedroom and our grandson slept on the double air mattress provided by the hosts in the living room. The children enjoyed the hot tub when it wasn't too hot to get in it! The kitchen had everything I needed to cook breakfast for a couple of days. Please remember, though, that in the contract the Hosts advise you to bring insect spray. I highly recommend that. The mosquitoes are quite bad the house being in a wooded area. I'm allergic to mosquito bites, so I stayed inside most of the time; however, my husband and grandchildren didn't have a problem with them and enjoyed the front porch rocking chairs and the swing. One thing I would suggest is that wastebaskets be placed in each bedroom. I would recommend this rental to anyone wanting a few days away from the hustle and bustle of life!
