"I was a little hesitant at first because there was only one review, but after noticing the hotel was brand new, I decided to give it a try — and I’m very glad I did. It was a great experience staying here. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The restaurant staff — David, Jose, Julian, Andres, and the rest of the team — were amazing and provided excellent service throughout my stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of options. From the moment I arrived, Harold made sure I was comfortable in my room and well taken care of. They also have great areas for events and gatherings. I will definitely come back and strongly recommend this place."

"Internet was really bad during the stay, staff at lobby have no clue about service or been helpful to a foreign. Also staff service at the breakfast was terrible. Rooms between are noisy due to the structure of the building."

"The pictures are not very accurate. The place is dirty and the hotel has hidden cost. I was charged upon arrival for taxes which are not included in the price. Breakfeast is simple not great. Nothing remarkable about staying here. There was a party all night and it was hard to rest."

"I had a short layover in Bogotá and wanted to spend it in a calm, natural setting just outside the city. Staying at Laguna de Guatavita was an absolutely spectacular experience. The cabin is nestled in lush greenery, offering total peace and quiet—yet it's surprisingly easy to get in and out of Bogotá, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle without feeling remote. The accommodation strikes a rare and wonderful balance: high-standard amenities in a traditional, nature-filled environment. Everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay was thoughtfully provided. One of the true highlights of the experience was meeting Jorge. He’s an outstanding host—fully fluent in English and German, incredibly well-travelled, and deeply passionate about Colombia and his home city. His affinity for healthy living, yoga, mindful eating, and life coaching made our conversations all the more meaningful and enriching. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that he offers private tours of Bogotá and the surrounding areas, which I’d highly recommend to anyone wanting a more personal, in-depth experience of the region.
