We are using products approved by the CDC to eradicate any lingering germs, bacteria, and viruses. We are taking extra precautions by ensuring all commonly touched surfaces are wiped down completely. The linens, towels, bed sheets, etc. are washed per manufacturers guidelines. We are also stocking our home with essential disinfectants and supplies to help you follow the CDC’s guidelines. We look forward to welcoming you to our property and hosting your stay. The Hideaway Hut is a quiet, comfortable home away from home and will be a place you will want to return to again and again. It is conveniently located mid way between two main towns on the North Olympic Peninsula, Sequim and Port Angeles. It is hidden away at the end of a road in the best kept local secret; a very small, award-winning community over looking the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It has a unique access to the beach via a five minute hiking trail along a creekside which forms a lagoon at the end before spilling into the Strait. Beachcombing is a must on this special stretch of beach. Wildlife watching and photographing is a part of the entire experience here. The deer will be seen just outside your window and the eagles will be perched in the trees as you enjoy the views of the water. The queen bed is very comfortable with a pillow-top mattress and extra sleeping accommodations for two are in the leather sleeper-sofa in the main living area. You will get a wonderful night's sleep with the quiet surroundings and the sounds of the waves lapping against the shore. You will share our private beach trail with our other guests at Hunters' Gate Homes. It is a gated, five minute hike with some large steps which are not easily navigated by small children or inexperienced hikers. Once down to the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach where the fresh creek water forms a lagoon that spills out into the salt water Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can walk and beach comb to the Dungeness Spit or head in a westerly direction toward Port Angeles. The quaint little neighborhood store, Agnew Grocery & Feed, is only a five minute drive away, offering fresh local produce and a large selection of wine and other refreshments besides the basic grocery items. Sunny Farms Country Store is only ten minutes away where you'll find a larger variety of items including a deli and a fresh fish and meat market. There are four restaurants all within a ten minute drive which are all highly recommended. If you want to venture further away, both Sequim and Port Angeles each only a twenty minute drive offer many more choices for shopping and dining. The start of the road up to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park is a short twenty minute drive. You can plan longer day trips to the Pacific Ocean and the Hoh Rainforest and return after your adventure to our quiet, restful, tranquil treasure, the Hideaway Hut. Property has a trail to the beach and multiple short nature trails through the woods. Home is very comfortable, kitchen is well equipped, and you couldn't ask for an easier check-in procedure. Great location for visiting Olympic NP. The wildlife on the grounds was amazing, watching young eagles learning to fly from the nest was beyond belief. We even seen a Piebald deer in the backyard 1 morning.. The location is ideal, the view is spectacular, and the unit is very clean and well stocked. Also, the hosts were very gracious and accommodating. ##### Shane K. We used it as a home base while we spent most of our days hiking. The views were incredible. We really liked that we could see Victoria BC in the distance. There was also lots of wildlife in the area. The only slight surprise is that another house is right next door and can bee seen from the kitchen windows. Not a big deal, just did not notice that from the listing photos. I highly recommend it and I will stay here again when I am back in the area. ##### William N. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The wildlife was amazing. Watching the Bald Eagles fly overhead to their nest and the mamma and baby deer going through the yard was a sight. Enjoyed the hike to the beach as well. We would love to go back and would choose this location again. This property was just beautiful. It had stunning views, walking trails, some a little steep, but so much nature surrounding us. Deer were on the property, an eagles nest was right above us on the property, We could hear the crashing waves below us. We drove from Boise, ID and got on a ferry to cross over. The drive to the property was beautiful! We drove a short distance to Madison Falls, visited the Dungeness Spit, and the Olympic game farm. We drove to the super cute Port of Port Angeles. Great location. Very clean and comfortable. Well stocked with everything we needed. Wonderful stay! ##### Melanie L. The property is located on a bluff overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca and you can see Port Angeles up the coast. Deer roam around the property. Everything is so quiet except sound of the waves coming onto the shoreline. The Hideaway Hut is the best equipped property we have ever stayed in. The host has thought of everything to the point of having chilled beer mugs in the freezer. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the living area is very cozy. The kitchen has everything necessary to make your meals if you decide to eat in (even spices). This is a marvelous property that we hope to return to in the future. ##### Harry J. The scenery and sunset view are unmatched. The beach is fantastic. We did accidentally walk into the wrong house. There is a "Hideaway Hut" and "Hideaway House" that have the same address and are next door to each other. You might double check the names before walking in. ##### Shannon R.
