About this property
Dynamite Red Rock Views w Spa & gas fire-table
Our modern, mid-century style home offers casual elegance and wonderful views both inside and out. We are ideally situated at the foot of Thunder Mountain, three houses down from the Andante Trail which gives us access to a variety of beautiful, easy to moderate hikes with glorious views.
The architect of the home was thoughtful in it’s orientation and layout, providing dynamite views from both the front and rear of the home, with the hallmark deep eaves of the mid century style offering shady spots for outdoor living. You’ll love the ideal Eastern facing wall of windows and deck spaces for glowing red rock sunsets and gorgeous sunrises. The Western facing front patio is the perfect place for a cup of coffee in the shade while you watch the sun’s rays light up Thunder Mountain in the morning. We have a circular drive outside the front door that is perfect for unloading and a basement garage for getting your car out of the weather.
The interior living spaces are wide open, with expansive glass walls, yet there is a Great Room and separate Sitting Room to accommodate a variety of ages and activities. The Sitting room is open to the other living spaces and is furnished with a sleeper sofa for larger groups.
The split floor plan is perfect for family vacations. The Primary Suite includes a sitting area, en suite bathroom, and sliders that provide great views and easy access to the 7 person Caldera Spa. On the other side of the house, the Queen and Twin bedrooms are stylish and spacious. The pretty Queen bedroom has red rock views. The Twin bedroom is perfect for the kids or grandkids, with room to spread out.
Our property is backed by 5 acres of our immediate neighbor's undeveloped land. While we’re minutes from all the conveniences of Sedona, being nestled between Coconino National Forrest and undeveloped land gives us a peaceful oasis in which to enjoy the incredible bounty Mother Nature has provided this beautiful area. From humming birds to javelinas, it’s expected you’ll see wildlife here. In fact, we have a wildlife camera that only captures the empty area at the end of our driveway that backs up to the open 5 acres. It does not capture any of the fenced-in back yard so guests can expect full privacy when enjoying those amenities.
Please note Sedona is an International Dark Sky community and also has strict light and noise ordinances. The city has made violating them a criminal offense, and you can be charged and evicted. Local law enforcement patrol for violations with noise meters. We ask that you adhere to these rules in consideration of our neighbors. Keep the noise level to 60 dB during the day, 50 dB at night. Turn off exterior lights after 10pm and be aware of how many interior lights you leave on overnight. You’ll thank us the first time you slip into the spa after a long day of hiking and adventures only to marvel at the Milky Way stretching across the tips of Thunder Mountain in the moonlight. To help keep overheads off, if you want to reduce your light pollution, there are plenty of directional nightlights in the house, however please leave the two plugged in by the steps where they are.

The location was truly beautiful, the home was comfortable, clean, very open and we loved the time we spent there. We hope to have the opportunity to stay there again!
This home was great. Very spacious, great views and great location next to hiking. Definitely recommend it. The host was very responsive and accommodating!
Location was fantastic with breathtaking views and walking access to great hikes. The facilities were spectacular and roomy, clean and modern. The hosts were always responsive and helpful. Can’t wait to go back again.
Dynamite Red Rock has absolutely amazing views of the mountains and the entire home was clean, and neat. The home location is in a very nice neighborhood. It’s close to town and lots of trails. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back again.
We stay at a lot of VRBOs, and this place was the best. Super clean and comfortable. Fabulous location with constant views. We had visits from multiple mule deer, javelinas, and TONS of hummingbirds. Didn’t want to leave!
We loved the house and thoroughly enjoyed our week in Sedona. The house has the most stunning views of the red rock mountains. We loved the location situated perfectly for all the best hikes, and the hot tub was a welcoming end to every evening. The sunset and sunrise views were incredible and we also enjoyed star gazing from the hot tub. The host was quickly responsive for all of our questions during and leading up to our stay. Highly recommend this property, fantastic for a family stay in Sedona!
If you want peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The views all around this gorgeous home are breath-taking. You can't go wrong booking this delightful home. It's beautiful inside and out. The property owners are absolutely wonderful. It's an honor to stay in their very special home.
The location of the home is fantastic. 1 minute walk to trails. Very peaceful neighborhood and lovely home. The views from the back deck are second to none. My husband and I stayed with my kids age 14 to 9, and we all loved it.

This is one of my favorite vacation rentals—a truly special place. Our family, ranging in age from 10 to 82, was all very happy here. We loved being right next to the trails and surrounded by nature. We saw Javelinas more than once and lots of beautiful birds. It was nice that the older folks could feel like their trip was rich even without leaving much. Thank you for making such a special getaway!
We will have a hard time vacating this piece of heaven. The first day we were here, we just kept saying; “wow.” At every turn. What a blessing to be able to enjoy this with good friends. We hardly left the property, it is so gorgeous! We will defiantly be back.
Location is great. Hosts are very communicative. The house is awesome. Split bedroom design is great for two couples. It even has two family rooms. We stayed a month and hated to leave. Views from both the front and back spectacular. The backyard/deck provided lots of entertainment with non-stop hummingbirds, quail, mountain bluebirds and the parade of javelinas every few days. We hope to return again.
Our experience was just as I had imagined it. Relaxing in a spacious house with fantastic view of the red rocks/Sedona landscape.
We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub watching birds (including hummingbirds ) during the day and stargazing at night.
Some of the best hikes are accessed by foot at the end of the street. Would definitely come back!
The views were stunning as depicted in the listing pictures. The house was beautiful and so relaxing with the beautiful back deck and hot tub, the open living spaces and walls of windows. It was the cleanest place I have stayed, with the kitchen so well organized and the appliances clean and easy to use. I didn’t want to leave the house as much as I didn’t want to leave Sedona.
I cannot say how much we all enjoyed this house. The views are wonderful from sunrise to sunset. We had sweet hummingbirds, cardinals and quails that entertained us everyday. Not to mention the parade of javelinas that we saw daily. Quiet neighborhood but close to everything you need. An FYI if you need groceries the Safeway down the street had the friendliest employees!Great house!
We (family of 3, two adults and our 9 yo), just returned from a 1 week stay. We loved this house and would absolutely stay here again. Spacious, clean, comfortable, well stocked kitchen, unbeatable views. The neighborhood is quiet and charming. We saw javelinas every day, loved bird watching from the lovely back deck, and enjoyed the hot tub. We thought the location was perfect for a visit to Sedona. Easy, short drives to great restaurants, hiking trails and shopping. The hosts were very helpful with advice/restaurant suggestions and quick to respond. We stay in VRBOs for most of our travels, and this was a particularly positive experience.
We enjoyed our stay at the Dymamite Red Rock property. The house is clean and well maintained, and the beds are comfortable! The split floor plan worked well for our family of 6, with parents in the main bedroom and 4 teenagers having the other end of the house. The living areas are spacious and there is plenty of seating. We loved being able to walk right out the door to hiking trails and then come back and relax in the hot tub! We spent more time in the house than we anticipated due to rainy weather but the views from this house are amazing in any weather!!
I'm already trying to figure when to come back.
I can't say enough good things about this property. It was secluded just enough and the views are outstanding. So close to hiking, it's out the front door and 400 ft up the road.
Would be great for families. It was in the 90s almost every day, but I still managed a late night or early hot tub stint.
Book this place today... or don't, so I don't have to compete with you. lol lol lol
We loved the location of the house (one block from amazing trailheads!) and the views.
We loved watching the lightening storm on the comfy couches behind the floor-to-ceiling windows with an incredible S.E. view in the living room.
We visited Jerome twice and Prescott as well as Sedona. Not our forst time to Sednona but our first at this property.
We recommend bringing your own soap and conditioner as all they had was body wash and shampoo. We recommended to the owners to consider purchasing new pots and pans because the currently ones were old and tattered.
The property owners were very communicative and caring.
We love this house, location, comfort and affordability.
The hosts are wonderful to work with - no issues at all!!The house is perfectly located - we hiked Sedona , drove to page and grad canyon - gorgeous rides!!The house is amazing and the views are breathtaking- can’t wait to come back !!
