We have a fully-fenced yard that is stonescaped and pleasant for outdoor dining. Relax in a hammock under a wisteria covered pergola. During the winter, enjoy the large cedar sauna, jetted tub, wood burning fireplace, and more. You will love the unique and outstanding restaurants and shops just a walking distance away. Get comfortable and enjoy Seattle! Welcome to historic Wallingford! Our house has 5 steps to the front door which opens to a comfortable living room with 1924 period charm. The adjacent kitchen was remodeled recently with induction cooktop (safe for kids), pot filler, and butcher block cutting board that it pleasant for food preparation. On this floor are two bedrooms with queen beds and lots of character. Between the two bedrooms is a bathroom which was also recently remodeled that has a glass enclosed shower and laundry chute to the laundry room downstairs - making laundry easy. There is a large private room upstairs with a sitting room, workstation, and TV from which French doors open to a small plexiglass enclosed balcony. On the bottom floor is a sitting room with a large TV. The primary bedroom with a king bed is adjacent to the sitting room and has the primary bathroom with heated floors and a large, jetted tub, large glass enclosed shower and 4-person cedar sauna making the Seattle winters much more pleasant. The 5th bedroom is also downstairs and has a single bed with lots of storage and a dresser. The downstairs back door has a small dog door, and the property is fully fenced and safe for dogs who are not determined diggers. There is another back door from the kitchen with a Dutch door which opens to a small area with a grill. The front and side yards are fully stonescaped and with a sitting table and chairs make for pleasant evening summer meals. Under the wisteria covered pergola along the side yard is a hammock (which will be taken down during winter months but can be made available to you). The house is walking distance to too many restaurants, coffee shops and parks to mention. Come relax and enjoy all this special home has to offer. The front door has an August® lock for which we will send you a code so you can easily let yourself in. How much contact you have with us is up to you, we’re available and responsive should you have a want, concern or question, but we respect your privacy and will leave it to you to initiate any contact. Wallingford is a residential neighborhood that is quiet, safe and centrally located to all that Seattle has to offer. The sauna was such a relaxing treat after our days out, and the outdoor hammock quickly became our favorite spot for reading and unwinding.The hosts went above and beyond — my boyfriend accidentally left a shirt behind and they promptly shipped it back to us via UPS. Very clean, spacious enough for the 7 of us (aged 85 to 19 !)) The owners even put up a little tree and Holiday decor to make our Christmas even more special. We cooked a lot, including the full Holiday meal of Turkey, sides, pies etc. and while the kitchen was adequate in supply, we could have used a few more 9 by 13 or 9 by 9 pans. We made due by using disposables from the store. Tupperware for saving leftovers was also in short supply but with a daughter living close by we were able to have her supply some! Perfect for having separate sleeping areas. Nice compact kitchen and relatively small living area but it still worked fine.
