Staff helpful and friendly. You can't get breakfast at The Maynard but their sister hotel on the corner was just minutes away, and you got a discount for being guests at The Maynard. We were very impressed with our room as it was very clean and spacious. The property seemed to be well maintained and I was able to park outside after purchasing a permit for £10 for 2 nights. We were in a a room with 2 single beds which was on the top floor, 66 steps. The room was clean with ample storage and a well stocked tea tray. The bathroom was modern and clean with good toiletries provided. Only negative was could hear the people in the next room and could hear an extractor fan from another room whenever they used their bathroom. The hotel is only 3-4 minutes walk from the cliff lift and paths down to South Bay near the Spa complex. Our room was large, with two double beds and two comfortable chairs to relax at the end of a busy day. The owners went through parking then we were showed our room. The room was so hot so throughout the stay we struggled but otherwise the room was lovely.
