Sleeping up to 10 guests across five bedrooms, this stylish holiday home will certainly provide a stay to remember. Located in Scarborough on the Yorkshire coast, it’s the perfect place for a staycation by the sea. Whether you’re travelling with friends or family, Castle View is the ultimate retreat for everyone. The Space: You’ll find stylish interiors throughout Castle View. Refurbished to a high standard, you can expect high quality furniture and beautiful styling. The property boasts an open plan living and dining room, fully equipped kitchen, five bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate WC. Modern and spacious, the open plan living and dining room is perfect for socialising with your loved ones. The living area includes a blue L-shaped chaise sofa, a second grey sofa and a large flat screen TV. The ideal spot to retreat to after a fun-filled day exploring Scarborough, the living area is a comfortable space to unwind. The dining area features a large dining table and ten dining chairs so there is ample space for your whole party to enjoy meals together. Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the large kitchen has everything you could need to prepare home cooked meals during your stay. Appliances include an oven, hob, toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge freezer, coffee maker and dishwasher. The kitchen also features a breakfast bar with three bar stools. Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find two bedrooms and a WC. The master bedroom boasts a Super King bed and the second bedroom benefits from a King size bed. On the second floor, you’ll find a further two bedrooms and a family bathroom. The third bedroom is a double and the fourth bedroom has single bunk beds. Spacious and stylish, the family bathroom boasts a bathtub, large walk in shower, WC and vanity unit. The final bedroom and bathroom can be found on the third floor. With sloped ceilings, both rooms have a cosy feel. The final bedroom boasts a double bed and the bathroom has a roll top bathtub with an overhead shower, WC and a basin. Every bed in Castle View benefits from plush bedding and premium bed linens to ensure you have a comfortable night’s sleep. Every care has been taken to ensure each bedroom has a tranquil feel with relaxing colour schemes and lovely soft furnishings. Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay. Guest Access: Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. On street parking is available on a first come, first served basis. There is also a large pay and display car park close by to the property. The Neighborhood: Located in the centre of Scarborough, Castle View is just a short walk to all of the attractions. Packed with seaside charm, you’ll find plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes to discover as well as arcades and ice cream parlours. There are a number of beaches for you to choose from. The popular South Bay is a sun trap and close to the hustle and bustle of the town centre. North Bay has been accredited with Blue Flag status meaning it’s one of the best beaches in Europe! Cayton Bay is the quietest of the three and boasts a sweeping bay with a rural feel. Lastly Cornelian Bay is the remotest and hardest to get to but it’s a hidden gem and often empty. Ideal for all weathers, there are lots of indoor attractions in Scarborough for the whole family. Head to Sea Life Sanctuary to see seals, penguins, sharks, turtles and more or Scarborough Castle to explore its 3000 year history. If it’s outdoor fun you’re looking for, The Open Air Theatre is a short 15 minute walk from the house where you can see amazing bands, singers and comedians. There is also the Sky Trail Adventure and Peasholm Park nearby. Getting Around: Castle View is within walking distance of all that Scarborough has to offer and within 1 hours’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and Filey. Scarborough Train Station is a short 10 minute walk away and has routes to Filey, Bridlington, Liverpool and Sheffield. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Scarborough. Hop on the 12 route and you can visit neighbouring seaside spots of Filey and Bridlington. The X93 travels through to Middlesbrough with drop offs in Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby. Despite an inch of dust ontop of the TV all surfaces were clean.There was plenty of space for food in the kitchen, which is nice to have. There is also plenty of crockery and cutlery. Dishwasher tablets were provided. The TV and internet worked well for us (you can only watch Netflix and Prime on TV though)The main bedroom on the first floor was disappointing to say the least. The leg on the bed was broken and you could feel every spring in the mattress which meant it was unusable. We contacted host and stay, they did not comment ont he broken bed and thanked us for raising the mattress issue however there was no attempt to improve this for us during our stay. Making our stay very uncomfortable. The other bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The bed linen was of good quality.Mirrors in the bedrooms had been wiped with a dirty cloth making them unuseable.The bathrooms were clean and to a good standard. There is good water pressure. Hand towels were not provided which is a shame.The property is located close to the town centre and beach, the road is popular with people and cars. There is a pay and display carpark in the road opposite which makes parking for the property easy. There are a good range of pubs close to the property and a short walk takes you into the town centre.This could easily be a 5 property. ##### Debbie B. It was perfect for us! Lots of space for the kids, lovely rooms for everyone, well equipped kitchen. It’s in a great location with easy access to the beaches, the castle and lots of restaurants, cafes and shops in walking distance. Highly recommend! ##### Abbey T.
