The river was beautiful at all times of day and it was so cool to see the freighters going by, early morning in the fog was my favorite. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few snacks in the washer and dryer were easy to use. The property is just the right distance outside of town, close and convenient, but still a little removed, slice of peaceful paradise on the river. We have a child in college in Sault Ste. Freighters not far from the back door. Not in the city but close enough to be very convenient. Very homey, comfortable. The only negative, some of the towels in the bathroom could be replaced. The location was peaceful and offered beautiful views, making it a perfect spot to relax. One of the highlights was watching the freighters and other boats pass by—it was surprisingly fun and added a unique touch to our visit. We found ourselves frequently checking the marine traffic app to see when the next vessel would come through, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
