Most of the Hotels are about blocks away from the beach and the budgets ones are basically the same in design and size. Extremely small rooms, with basic bathroom (western style) build with bamboo panels, no A.C or T,V. The room at GECKO HOTEL are individual cabins as described above with a terrace at the entrance large enough for four people. The cabins are distributed in a very nice surrounding between trees, They have a common area under a roof with tables, refrigerator a free tea and coffee 24 hrs. The room have an electrical fun and the bed a mosquito net good enough to keep them away, The Hotel have no safe box but it is very well protected with security video cameras throughout the complex, It is located only a block from Pataya Beach and a minute walk from main Street. The staff was excellent, always smiling specially GOGI, front desk attendant. She went out of her way to answer my numerous questions and making sure that I was happy with my accommodation. It's no 5 star resort and the mosquitoes are annoying at times but for the price this place is great. Mysig bungalow som ligger i en liten "dunge" vilket tar bort en del av solens värme vilket är bra, egen liten uteplats där vi satt många kvällar. Enbart fläkt i rummet vilket blev lite varmt emellanåt men man överlever. Bra service, städar varje dag. Mycket mygg så ta med myggmedel! Ligger mitt på gågatan fast ändå en bit upp i "skogen" så man blir inte störd om kvällarna/nätterna. Sijainti on hyvä. Rannalle noin 5 min kävely. Iltaisin hieman äänekästä (lähinnä eläimistä lähteviä ääniä), mutta ei keskellä kaikkein pahinta hälinää (walking street). Niinkuin otsikkokin kertoo "sopii mukavuudenhaluiselle reppureissaajalle" eli jos hakusessa on paratiisiloma tai lapsiperhe loma en suosittele. Bungalowit ovat siistit ja kaikki perusasiat löytyy. Ja joillekkin reppureissaajille luksus paikka varmasti. Sänky hieman epämukava, mutta sänky kumminkin. Alueella on yleinen hengaus paikka josta löytyy: netti, jääkaappi, vettä, kirjoja ja astioita. Henkilökunta on mukavaa ja puhuu hyvää englantia ja auttavat tarvittaessa jos esimerkiksi saaresta tulee kysyttävää. Huoneeseen kuuluu metallijuomapullo jonka saa täyttää puhtaalla juomavedellä yleisissä tiloissa ja jota Lipellä suositaan roskan vähentämisen vuoksi eli sitä voi täyttää myös muualla Lipellä (ravintoloissa, kaupoissa etc). Kaikki oli lähellä ja sijainti itsessään loistava koska oli puiden alla varjossa. Työntekijät olivat ystävällisiä ja toteuttivat pyyntömme lisätyynyistä. Sai ilmaiseksi kuumaa tai kylmää vettä. Lisäksi vielä tilojen yhteisestä jääkaapista maksua vastaan juotavia. Mutta yksi seikka mikä jäi painamaan mieltä oli meteli lähiseudulla esim. humalaisten ihmisten huutoa läpi yön ja vielä lintujen "viserrys" johon heräsi joka aamu vaikka pidin korvatulppia.
