Rio Sarela House is located in the same Santiago de Compostela 3 km from the cathedral (Rúa da Ponte do Romaño, 58 A). In front of the house is the urban bus stop (nº 4), restaurants, supermarkets, bakery, butcher, bank teller, etc., ... With capacity for 8 people (10 in an extra double bed), it is distributed in 4 double rooms, with full bathroom inside the rooms, (3 with double beds and 1 with twin beds). One of the rooms is equipped for people with reduced mobility. Living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, free Wiffi, barbecue, pergola with table in the garden, parking, etc. The building consists of a two-storey house with an old terraced mill, built with masonry stone walls. The rehabilitation carried out was very respectful of the existing constructions, without increasing the volume and without altering the characteristics of the popular architecture, well integrated in the landscape. The home is comfortable and more than adequately supplied with kitchen, bathroom and bedroom accessories. The bedrooms are spacious and all have an en-suite bathroom. The surrounding grounds are magnificent and inviting. Casa Serala is a short 10 minute drive to the old town of Santiago de Compostela and a five minute drive to a well stocked grocery store. We can’t say enough good things about our host, Juan. He was kind, informative, thoughtful and readily available. Juan, the owner, was so helpful and friendly. The house had everything we needed, it was very clean and comfortable. Each bedroom has a bathroom, it was perfect for our group of 4 couples. The owner welcomed us to the house and explained everything and gave us recommendations. He gave us the neighbor’s phone number, who is a baker, so we could order pastries and breakfast. The baker was a hit!! He was so generous and his products were delicious and delivered everything to the house at no extra charge. The house is spacious , well equipped and well appointed. We were only 4 , but there was ample crockery etc etc for the house’s full complement of visitors. Whilst walkable into the city, the walk is unattractive, but the no 4 Bus stop is right outside and we managed perfectly with buses and inexpensive taxis , and then on the excellent railway system out from Santiago. Todo muy limpio, jardín grande y bien cuidado. Casa muy bonita con molino, alguna habitación está dentro del molino de paredes gruesas. La reforma y decoración de aplaudir. Muy cómodos, con todo lo necesario, se duerme bien sin ruidos; estás a 3 kilómetros de Santiago y la Catedral. El dueño Juan, te explica todo bien, y se preocupa de tí; recomienda sitios para comer (y acierta). Independientemente de ser un negocio, se le ve ilusión y ganas de agradar. Nos dejó plátanos (las niñas comieron los 4 días) y manzanas propias. Otro día nos trajo una bolsa de manzanas caseras sin tratar, muy ricas. Hemos estado en los puentes en varias casas rurales por la zona de Asturias o Navarrra. Sin duda está ha sido la mejor, es un pena no haber estado más en casa, pero no daba tiempo. Nos recomendó varios sitios donde comer de lujo a muy buen precio. Recomendamos especialmente el bar que está cerca de la casa, sus menús, el trato de sus propietarios (un matrimonio encantador). El trato con Juan, el propietario, excelente. Dispuesto en todo momento y faciltando siempre las cosas. La casa una maravilla: muy agradable, cuidado hasta el mas minimo detalle y con todo lo necesario para disfrutar de la estancia. El exterior con el jardin y el rio al lado perfecto para desconectar de la ciudad. La casa es un antiguo molino restaurado con muy buen gusto. Sigue pasando el río por debajo pero no se escucha cuando duermes por lo que se descansa fenomenal. La finca es muy grande y está muy bien cuidada. La relación con el propietario estupenda, es una persona muy amable y dispuesta siempre para que te sientas cómodo. Si viajáis a Santiago es una opción genial porque está a un tiro de piedra y si queréis una casa que os permita visitar muchos lugares de Galicia también es una opción fenomenal porque está a una distancia asequible de cualquier punto. Aquecimento central em toda a casa o que dá um conforto muito grande, O proprietário é uma pessoa muito prestável e simpática. Aconselho a quem quer visitar Santiago, a estrada de acesso à casa liga directamente com a zona histórica da cidade, em cerca de 8 min. Tem quatro quartos muito bons e confortáveis. Oct 23, 2015 #### MAGNIFICA ESTANCIA estuvimos el fin de semana pasado (23-25 de octubre/15), recomiendo la casa a todo el mundo por muchos motivos: La casa es una pasada, todo muy limpio e impecable. La cocina muy amplia para comer y hacer una buena sobremesa por la amplitud de su mesa. El salón muy acogedor con una buena televisión de plasma.Las habitaciones amplias, cómodas porque ademas tiene su propio cuarto de baño y muy limpias. Aparcamiento amplio para dejar los coche. El trato con el propietario un 10\. Ademas tuvo algún que otro detalle con nosotros, que se agradece (secador, gel y champo en todos los baños, fruta en la cocina, .....) La finca es enorme, con columpios para los niños, los niños la gozaron, corrieron y jugaron con total libertad. Los adultos también la gozamos porque que tiene una barbacoa grande y cubierta para pasar un buen rato haciendo un churrasco. La situación inmejorable, cerca de Santiago, para hacer una excursión a la catedral. En fin, que se la recomiendo a todo el mundo. ##### ALEJANDRO V. Aug 26, 2015 #### Para repetir La casa y todo lo que hay en ella está impecable, limpio, muy cuidado. Es una casa puesta con mucho gusto, al detalle. Es muy espaciosa, algo muy interesante cuando va mucha gente. No sólo los espacios comunes (cocina-comedor, jardín,..), sino las propias habitaciones. Muy importante el baño en cada habitación y la habitación accesible sin ningún escalón desde la propia entrada. También destacable la atención y amabilidad del dueño de la casa, siempre disponible. Todo de 10, desde el emplazamiento (a unos 30 minutos caminando de la catedral) al trato por parte del dueño, como la casa en sí. Fuimos un grupo de 8 amigos y desde el primer minuto estuvimos muy agusto, parece que estas en un pueblo totalmente aislado cuando en realidad estas a un paso del centro. Para los mas cómodos un taxi hasta el centro son unos 8€ y desde el aeropuerto 21€. También como se indica a unos 100 metros hay parada de bus urbano (1€) con bastantes frecuencias. La casa como se menciona, tiene 4 amplias habitaciones con armario empotrado y baño completo. Tiene una cocina enorme con una mesa de comedor en la que sobra espacio y luego una salita muy acogedora con una tv de 32". Por último, en la parte exterior tiene una finca enorme por la que pasa un arroyo en la que podemos encontrar una parrilla cubierta, columpios, etc. Resumiendo, su buscáis algo por la zona, no lo dudéis. ##### Eduardo
