Sky Hawk Ridge is place of extraordinary natural beauty, a 185-acre private refuge at the gateway to Buffalo River National Park. This extraordinary, luxury vacation home is brand new and sparkling clean! It’s farmhouse style on the outside, but bright, open and modern inside. The home affords breathtaking views of the Buffalo River Valley and manicured grounds all around. The expansive, private-park setting is shared with just three other cabins. THE LAND When you stay at Sky Hawk Ridge, you won't stay inside for long. Roam the land and discover the wonders of the beautiful landscape. Enjoy misty morning walks through dew-covered fields. Watch radiant sunsets over Ozark Mountains. When you walk along Sky Hawk's long ridge, you see up the Buffalo River Valley to layered green hillsides and distant blue ridge lines. You see rolling meadows with sentinel oaks, cattle grazing in lush pastures, deep green woods, nature's beauty at every turn. Explore miles of private trails that wind through dense forests and beside crystal streams. Wildlife is everywhere -- deer, turkey, fox, owls, songbirds, and all sorts of woodland creatures. LOCATION Sky Hawk is just off US 65 on the north side of the Buffalo River. Restaurants, canoe rentals and river access points at Grinders Ferry, Gilbert and Tyler Bend are less than ten minutes away, but at Sky Hawk you’re secluded and surrounded by natural beauty, away from it all. The entrance is on the Gilbert Road (Hwy. 333), just 0.4 mile east of US 65\. The cabin is at the end of a long drive, about 3/4 mile from the entry. Sited at the end of a prominent ridge, surrounded by meadow and framed by a trio of stately, old oaks, the house affords sweeping views up the river valley. The property has 3/4 mile of park frontage, and the Buffalo River Trail is just steps from the property corner. The park trail leads about a mile down to a long, wide gravel bar at Shine Eye Bluff -- the perfect spot to picnic, swim, fish or enjoy a lazy afternoon. (Shine Eye is also accessible by road, a five minute drive.) ACCOMMODATIONS Completed in September, 2023, this comfortable home has plenty of room for your family or two couples. Stunning architecture and tasteful furnishings make the house memorable in its own right. High dormer windows in the two-story living area and large windows in every room let you see forest and sky all around. The interior is sunny and uplifting, warm and inviting. Flanking the great room are two spacious bedroom suites. Separate bathrooms have large, walk-in showers. 703 Sky Hawk Drive is the newest of four vacation homes at Sky Hawk Ridge. The brisket tacos were out of this world - a meal so good you don’t want it to end! The hosts are quick to respond to any question or request and super friendly. Cabin 703 exceeded our expectations – the photos don't do it justice. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, including a thoughtful welcome basket for our four legged children. Myself, my husband, our 11 year old son, and our Frenchie had the most AMAZING time at Sky Hawk Ridge! The property is beyond beautiful, very peaceful, and the location is perfection!! Easy to kayak, hike, cliff jump, or just enjoy the nostalgia of the local area. Lori was amazing through booking process, and Ron & Donna were the most amazing people! The views were spectacular. The fully stocked kitchen had every utensil you would have in your own home. Can’t think of a better spot to have celebrated our anniversary. The owners thought of everything to ensure a comfortable perfect trip to the Buffalo River! The property is amazing- we saw deer, turkeys, and lightning bugs! It is very close to Buffalo River access points and the hiking trails on the property are nice so you don’t have to leave unless you want to! Clean and tidy and very comfortable, quiet and peaceful. It was just what the doctor ordered to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Also, 703 was perfect for our young Aussie to run and play with plenty of yard with the cabin placed at the end of the road....Trixie was in doggy heaven! Very safe from any traffic, which during our midweek stay was basically non existent. Highly recommend this property for a couple or a large family. They have multiple listings on this property a large family could utilize for big gatherings. It’s secluded and spaced out well. Trails are a great touch. The river is minutes away to kayak/canoe/fish. The amenities within the house were top notch - from the grill to cooking hardware to dish-ware. My wife, two young children and our dog spent a weekend at Sky Hawk. Property is beautiful and expansive. There are a handful of well-marked trails all over the property with variations of views and elevations. The house was new and spotless, with a kitchen stocked with quality cookware so we could cook all of our meals. We didn’t realize all the local restaurants close during the winter but luckily we brought plenty of food to cook. House has 2 large bedrooms with comfortable beds. The river access is a couple miles away (all those details are in the welcome book). We will try to come back during spring or summer to take advantage of that.All around great place to relax, hike, and spend time with family. It’s heaven for dogs, too. . ##### Logan P.
