This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle. This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness. If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location. The property was as described! We did not understand to order kitchen towel and bath mats prior to stay, however, the property management sent some right away for us. Be aware if you have elderly people the stairs are a little rough especially with the kitchen on the top floor. We put our Omi in the master bedroom on the top floor with the kitchen and that was helpful for her. The beach was close and the chair rentals were awesome! We also had to buy hand soaps and toilet paper for all the bathrooms but we left it there to hopefully start a trend;). We had everything we needed to cook! We would stay here again! ##### Mary P. The young adults loved the bunk room space and game room area. The kitchen was well-stocked and it was wonderful having a comfortable home base while seeing the sights in the area.
