Just steps from the beach with a private lighted path. Two master bedrooms with king-sized beds and private doors onto ocean-front decks make this Beach House a perfect vacation home to share! One of the masters is on the main level of the house where there are two other bedrooms with queen-sized beds and great views. The other one is on the second floor with the main living areas. The house has plenty of room for eight people. The indoor living space includes comfortable reclining furniture, dining table seating for everyone in the house, a newly remodeled well-equipped modern kitchen, and a full size washer and dryer. An electric fireplace keeps it cozy on chilly nights. Three and a half baths, plus an outside shower with hot and cold water, keep the peace even if you bring teenagers. As comfortable as the Beach House is, its most spectacular features are the two levels of decks plus a screened porch that faces the ocean. Chairs, swings, picnic tables, and loungers provide places to catch the ocean breeze and enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon wine. The ocean is so close - walk 100 feet and you'll get your feet wet in the surf! We've got all the modern entertainment: 5 smart TVs, plenty of books to enjoy, free wifi, and games and puzzles, but it's all about the beach! Look for seashells, sea glass (mermaid tears), surf, swim, fish, and build sandcastles right outside the house. Catch dinner and bring it to our fish cleaning station under the house to prepare it for the kitchen or the grill. Hatteras Island is simply the most beautiful place on earth - where a thin slice of sand separates the Atlantic Ocean and Pamlico Sound. Rodanthe Pier and Salvo Beach are an easy bicycle ride along the coastal trail that travels the length of the seashore. Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, and the small villages of Avon, Buxton, Waves, and Frisco are all short drives. The whole island is also a birdwatcher's paradise, with over 400 species of birds. You can enjoy the sunrise and the sunset from the decks! There are wonderful ocean views from the living room and kitchen! The house was spacious with many amenities! The kitchen has everything you need and more! I loved how the dishes all have a beach theme! It’s only a small walk to the beach and has a nice outside shower to wash off after a day on the beach! There were beach chairs and boogie boards to use if you needed them. We live near another busy NC beach area so we know how crazy and congested things get in season. With the campgrounds and KOA nearby I imagine this will be much busier in summer. Location is amazing! How can you not love sitting on the deck having coffee, while watching the sunrise or dolphins swimming by? It's in a good halfway spot on the OBX if you don't mind driving in either direction to go see more sights. Beds were comfortable, showers hot (and showerheads were tall enough for me and my husband), and the kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and necessities. When I first booked it had "hot tub" in the title. It now says "luggage/baggage lift" and there is no hot tub. I'm not sure if that was originally referencing the jacuzzi tub in the downstairs master or what. Not a deal breaker, because the luggage lift/elevator is really nice to have. If you bring a pet make sure you potty them in the fenced dog run area. If they go in the grassy areas of the yard they will end up with sandspurs in their paws. Beyond that our dog loved her time at the beach as well. I would definitely stay here again. ##### Jennifer G. The furniture and beds are very comfortable, lots of space inside the house as well as outside with 2 levels of decking and seating. Loved watching the sunrise from the front of the house each morning and the sunset from the back each day!! Frank is a great host; he responds very quickly to questions and leaves a great itinerary of things to do and restaurants. We would definitely stay at Beach House again! ##### Elizabeth K. From the lower level you’re about 100 yards from the water. The camp ground on either side were not an issue. There were people on the beach but it was never over crowded. There are a few places to eat around, they are smaller places. There are a few “general store “ type grocery store within 5-10 min. You wouldn’t have to go to nags head or Avon to an actual grocery store if you didn’t want to. This house may have spoiled us with how close to beach it is. ##### Tyson B. So it was wonderful that the beach house is so comfortable and well supplied! It was so interesting to see the changing coast. If you want to be in the thick of things, Rodanthe/Waves might not be the place for you. But for us it was perfect - quiet, away from everything and centrally located in the OB. The house’s view was spectacular and from the living room we could not see another building, just beach and ocean. Be forewarned that things need to be carried up a flight or two of stairs, but that’s the Outer Banks for you. Lovely decor throughout the house, plenty of space for 5 adults. The kitchen is small but has everything you need, even a French press! Spectacular view of ocean as we relaxed on the large deck. One rainy afternoon was still spectacular as we watched the rain comfortably from the living room. One in our group has mobility issues so this house was perfect so she could enjoy the ocean view without walking to the beach. Frank was instantly responsive to an issue with the Wifi, resolved in less than 30 minutes. Deli, Dollar Store, restaurants, and shops near by. Loved watching the sunrise from the deck and 10 minute walk to the sound for incredible sunsets. ##### Margaret L.
