This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle. This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness. If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location. It is such a shame that the homes around it on the beach are falling into the ocean. So sad. It was comfortable and warm in the rainy weather. Your contract rules say there is no use of grills on decks and only on concrete, but there is a grill located on the upper deck. We did not use it, but I thought i would point it out. ##### eva k. Right on the beach. Hot tub was a plus. Had to call for mid week cleaning and inspection. As they did not show up on day scheduled. Dusting could have been a little more thorough dresser tops and under beds. The outside had boards that appeared to be in a hazardous spot.
