    This historic 1850's Cottage is located in the heart of Robe and as the name suggests is situated on the corner of Smillie and Bagot Street.
    The cottage is located within 100m of Robe's safest swimming beach, specialty shops, cafes, hotels and restaurants, and is only a very short stroll to Robe's golf course.
    There are 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 guests with a fully equipped kitchen, separate dining and large lounge to complete the accommodation.
    The private, fully enclosed rear courtyard is ideal for relaxing, and enjoying a BBQ lunch, or enough room for a small pet.
    Don't miss your chance to stay in one of Robe's historic buildings.

    Bathroom and bedroom linen is supplied in all our properties for your stay, however we only supply what is required. NOTE linen is supplied only, if you require the beds to be made please book bed making with your booking request. It is the guests responsibility to notify the office if you require any special combinations. If no linen requests are made, we will make an assumption based on the guest number provided of which beds will be used at the property. Don't forget to bring your beach towels.

    It is the dog owner’s responsibility to ensure their dog is suitably restrained within the enclosed yard premises. Robe Holiday Rentals can not guarantee fencing will be a suitable match for your pet.

I enjoyed living at this property as it is so close to the beach. It is ideal when you have kids who are always ready for a swim

Robe overnight trip

If you are looking for a stay without all the bells and whistles but in a great location then would recommend. Only form of hearing was a woodheater however no wood was left. Great location the property was lovely and original on the exterior however very basic on the inside but did the job once we got the heater going 😊

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and cottage has heaps of charm potential - if only it wasn’t so grubby and poorly maintained. On arrival property smelt like pet urine. Kitchen sink also smelt. Level of cleanliness was poor. Stained carpet and lounge suite. Blood spots on walls I think from squashed mossies as fly screens in disrepair and ill fitting. Also in one room there was a liquid stain on the wall beside the bed that looked like dry vomit. No air con and only one pedestal fan in living room. Dust and cobwebs along with an ant problem. Doona covers don’t look like they are cleaned between guests there was a stain on the underside of one that looked like old blood. No exhaust fan in the bathroom means whenever anyone showers everything get wet. The kettle was so disgusting I went to the hardware store and bought a new one to use. I slo bought cleaning products so I could feel ok about staying there. The is a blind safety catch missing on the living room blind which is a safety issue. The location of the property was fantastic and the stone character wonderful. However this property needs a deep and thorough clean and some much needed upkeep issues attended to.

The beds were comfortable as were the seats & couch's in the sitting room, the dining room & the outdoor area. It was great that I could take my Jack Russell too: 4 stars.The only issue we had was the cleanliness, I would rate it 2 stars for that. Hopefully it will get better.

Heritage cottage in as central a location as there is

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is fantastic, we could wander around town on foot at the drop of a hat, but it isn't notably noisy. The online entry reflected the reality well. The courtyard is not huge (pictures show that). There is a small stable slot for car parking which offers shade for most of the car.The cottage is in a complex of buildings dating from the old Criterion Temperance Hotel and so it has quirks of layout but overall it is spacious and comfortable. What is might lack in glitz and spa baths it makes up for with character, insulation and a log fire. The main trade-off is the lack of a great view.The place is tidy and the beds are comfortable - we slept well. Kitchen is quite well supplied and as I carry a 'larder' I didn't care that there is no condiments or cafe supplied. Nice local bathroom soapy stuff.The staff were responsive and polite, no issues there.

Situated in a fantastic spot near the Main Street of Robe. Quiet and easy. Lots of character and lovely having a fire every night. Comfortable and clean.

The weather was cold and wild and the fire place was perfect. The outside area for our two dogs was well protected with high fences and undercover area to have their crates setup for the stay. Highly recommended! We'll be back again :) ps. Do yourself and favour and make a stop in Coonawarra for the wine - Majella was a favourite

We enjoyed our stay in this well located and simple cottage. The items of period furniture added to the sense of history that was embedded in the house, so reflective of Robe itself.

Weekend away

This cottage is in a great location so easy to walk to all the shops and eating places in the main street . The bathroom is up 3 stairs from the bedroom which wasnt suitable for my 87 year old mother . The windows in the dining room are needing a good clean - full of dead flies etc and cobwebs ! This suprised as as the rest of the place clean .
