Everything was excellent and well organised. The master chef was something else. The dinner buffet was different every night by combining Greek and international cuisine.
Everything was simply perfect.
From the beautiful pool-access room to the exceptional kindness and hospitality of the staff, every detail felt special. The hotel manager personally walked us to the dining room on our first visit, and Nikos from one of the hotel’s impressive restaurants was absolutely amazing.
The spa is also fantastic and even offers hairdressing services.
Simply wow. If you’re visiting Crete, don’t miss the chance to stay at OROS. An unforgettable experience!
We had a fabulous time at Oros Resort. The staff, especially, were universally fantastic – warm, friendly and professional and could not do enough for us.
Even though it caters to families, it is also a great romantic couples resort. With separate pools for families and adults and a lot of space it always feels calm, quiet and relaxed.
The resort is finished to a very high standard and is very well thought out. The rooms are excellent. The resort’s part of the beach is the best on Episkopi – soft sand and, again, great attentive staff who are always on the lookout for things they can do for you.
The one observation I would make is the resort is a long way on foot from a town and, although there are beach bars and tavernas along the beach, they are spread out, with often a fair distance between. The resort restaurants are great but if you want to find local tavernas outside be prepared for a 30 minute walk. All the tavernas between Georgioupoli and Petres could do with a shuttle bus to move people around.
A special shout out for the restaurant Yaku which was amazing. We were initially surprised by the idea Nikkei cuisine in Crete but it was truly beautiful and, again, all the staff were brilliant. Chef Nikos Skamnakis is a master!
This was truly one of the best stays I have ever had. I visited this hotel last year and was so impressed that I decided to come back for a second time. As someone who constantly works and struggles to switch off, I rarely find places where I can genuinely relax. But this hotel allows me to completely reset and recharge.
From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed by a breathtaking lobby with stunning ocean views and beautiful architecture. Being driven to your suite by golf buggy adds a lovely touch and makes the experience feel even more special.
The suites are spotless, peaceful, and beautifully designed, with great attention to detail. Every member of the staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming, and you can truly feel the warmth and hospitality throughout the entire resort.
There is even a small mini market within the hotel where you can conveniently buy snacks, sunscreen, and other essentials. The private beach is wonderful, and breakfast is exceptional, offering a huge variety of dishes ranging from traditional Cretan cuisine to delicious sweet and savoury options.
What makes this place truly special, however, is how it makes you feel. It is a place where I can forget about work, relax, and simply enjoy the moment. I recommend this hotel and would happily return for a third time. Thank you to the entire team for another unforgettable stay.
The hotel is new and rooms are large. We had a huge extra balcony space but our room was far from the lobby, pool and restaurants. Everything should get a 4.5 star rating, just like the hotel. It's not 5 star but it's almost. Breakfast has a bunch of options and the view is great. The beach is nice and the staff there always made us feel welcome. It's hard to explain but everything was good, while not being 5 star.
This was by far the best hotel we have ever booked in our life. From the warm and welcoming staff, to the excellent food, and the beautifully designed, high-quality rooms, everything was absolutely perfect.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with refreshing drinks and taken to our room by golf cart. Once we arrived, both the room itself and the breathtaking view left us speechless.
Every member of the team from reception to housekeeping to the restaurant staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. It was exactly the kind of service we had always imagined.
For the first time in our lives, we truly experienced the kind of luxury and comfort we had only seen on television before. This stay exceeded all our expectations, and we will definitely be coming back next year.
This property is new and quite lovely. It was truly one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in and we travel a lot. Our plunge pool suite was top notch. The beach facilities are private and excellent. Breakfast was included and there were so many choices. My only complaint is the exclusion of kids from the adults-only pool, which is the only place you can order fries/burgers. Would be better if they made it a "quiet" pool instead of being age restricted?

Disliked: Staff & service
Fantastic sea view. Some staff poorly trained and unfriendly. Had to switch rooms 2 more times for two night stay after checkin due to party noise and clogged shower drain. Parking is in limited supply and in areas needing some walk from room. Buffet breakfast and dinner quality is average. Non smoking is not enforced in restaurant subjecting non smoker quests including babys to smoke.
The property itself is beautiful, but management and operations need significant improvement. Aside from the maintenance crew, most staff appeared inadequately trained in both hospitality and operational procedures.
