Kritiki Spilia - House & Spa

Kritiki Spilia is a small, old stone house shaped like a vault, with 1-meter-thick stone walls. We renovated this house with great attention to detail, preserving the stone construction and unique architecture while combining them with modern green and blue colours. All the furniture is handmade and custom-built to fit this rare architectural style. An LG Smart TV, satellite TV, and internet connection round out the technological amenities of this small house. It is a detached house for 2 people and is therefore a very rare find, as most vacation homes in Crete have 3 or more bedrooms. It’s the perfect getaway for couples who want to enjoy each other’s company. On the rooftop terrace, there is a heated hot tub from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and the White Mountains. The sunset from here is truly a dream! A small garden with a terrace rounds out the outdoor area. Instead of palm trees, we’ve planted a banana tree, a lemon tree, an orange tree, and a mandarin tree here, and we’ve also created a small botanical garden with local herbs for our guests to use. The house is located on a very quiet side street in the village of Prines. The village centre is just 100 metres away. There you’ll find three taverns, a small grocery store, a pharmacy, and the bus stop, from which you can easily reach the city of Rethymno in less than 10 minutes.
