The view over the estuary is up there with the best I've ever stayed in and worth booking for this alone. The arrangement where you get your key from the Pennington and have breakfast there but can dine in either seems confusing at first. Lovely meal at the Inn, not cheap but very good. Slight downside was entrance into accommodation through back of pub which was littered with cigarette butts. Lovely views from two windows, however no double glazing so noise from wind was very loud and disturbed my sleep. The room is nicely decorated, has a good shower and clean white towels and bedding. The bed and pillows are quite firm and I’m used to something a little softer so felt a bit uncomfortable. And despite being above the pub, there was no noise. The only downside is it is a bit tired looking and could do with a lick of paint. Also despite being 'dog friendly' and they don't tell you this, but they charge £10 per night for your dog. There was plenty of room with a big bed, which although a little firm for us was still very nice. The bathroom was huge with a free standing bath and the sitting area had a really comfy sofa, fridge and dining table.
