Host Piero was very understanding of our changing travel arrangements (fire at Catania airport meant we arrived a day later than expected) and check in was smooth. Apartment was exactly as described and as in the photos - in a really old building, quirky and full of character. Rooms are comfortable and a good size. Air con works well (and we were there in the middle of the July 2023 heatwave and it was mid 40s every day). Balcony is bigger than it looks in the photos with separate areas to sit and relax or to eat at the table. The balcony is above most of the neighbouring rooftops and a lovely place to spend the early evening. Location is great for walking up to Ragusa Ibla, the oldest and nicest part of the town (about a 20 minute walk). There is a good sized Spar supermarket a 2 minute walk away and it was ideal for stocking up on the basics like water. There are also around 10 local restaurants within a 10 minute walk. We asked Piero about any he would recommend and he recommended Giro di Vite and Konza. He was 100% correct because we went to each twice and were very happy that we did. 2 things to keep in mind - parking in the area immediately around the apartment not always easy and you might have to hunt around a bit. Also, the apartment is on the top floor of the building and there are a lot of stairs to climb. These were minor details for us and we would absolutely stay in this apartment again. ##### Richard H. È molto accogliente, funzionale e ben arredata. Bello anche il terrazzino, utile per cenare all'aria aperta. Il proprietario Piero è una bella persona, ci ha preparato un aperitivo di benvenuto e ci ha spiegato bene Ragusa e i suoi dintorni. Ma, tolgo una stella per un motivo, la mancanza di un climatizzatore. È vero che è stato un periodo molto caldo e anomalo, ma in estate e a Ragusa bisogna prevederlo, roba da non dormire la notte. Il sig. Piero ci ha fornito 2 piccoli ventilatori, ma non sono bastati. Poi dopo 10 giorni il caldo si è attenuato ed è diventato un clima più sopportabile.
