This view was the reward of my greatest hiking-accomplishment to date, and what a reward it was! We hiked for eleven hours (with gear) all the way from Sunshine Meadows to the campground at Mt Assiniboine in just one day - mind you, I had never even hiked with more than a day-pack before this. We gave our sore feet three days rest and the weather was iffy (to say the least) the entire time - except for when we went to see the view over Sunburst Peak which was actually the main reason we came all this way. The sky opened up and gave us an amazing sunset, and I think I died and went to heaven 😇 #canada #mountains #rockymountains #assiniboine #takeahike
