New this year. A longstanding guest who has stayed with us for several summers had to cancel unexpectedly. They always book early and pick one of the best weeks each year. Their loss is definitely your gain. Take advantage of a great week that is rarely available! ** Special Note ** I have discounted the week of August 23rd to August 30th! Book it before its taken!! Also this area really is wonderful For all the biking enthusiasts!!! New in 2025 County Rd W will be redone and the shoulders will be widened five feet on each side between where Manitowish Waters meets up with Winchester all the way to Presque Isle, WI. Don’t miss your opportunity to see Mother Nature in all of her glory while enjoying all that the surrounding area has to offer!! This area has so much to do every day of the year! Thinking about warmer summer days? Get some days off come enjoy the Turtle lake chain next year while some days are still available. If the availability doesn’t work with your schedule consider booking for 2026. Pick the days that work best for you but you will need to book early. Bookings for next summer coming in already so make your plans for next year before all the best dates are booked up! This place stands out from the rest and is absolutely everything you could ever want in an up north cabin. And it’s been newly landscaped as of 2021, CHAIN OF LAKES HOME!! Walk right in and start enjoying the lake life. This property has so much to offer! Let's start with the 186' of sand frontage that leads you onto the 900+ acre Turtle Lake Chain. Clear & sandy lake, no muck or weeds, perfect for swimming! New Dock with steps that lead right into the water. **New in Summer of 2023 a second long face dock to fish from or tie up your boat to**. Perfect fire pit area overlooks the lake and private, wooded lot. *** New in 2023 new patio furniture that swivels and glides. So very comfortable ***. Awesome wrap around deck is great for looking at the water or keeping an eye on the kids. Inside you will find a fresh remodel of the home including a gas fireplace. Home also offers A/C for those hot summer days. Great layout gives you the option to put the kids in the fully finished lower level with walkout patio door. Win Man mountain biking trails, cross country skiing trails snowmobile & Iron County ATV trails and more restaurants and bars than you could possibly try in one trip just down the street! A large circle drive was added to allow guests with large trailers the ability to pull straight into the driveway and NEVER have to back out. And for all owners of an electric vehicle there is a 50 amp Nema 14-50 receptacle outside of the garage for your free charging needs. I am constantly improving this already great home. Also new last summer i added a generator that will power up the entire property during those pesky power outages! Come enjoy! Starting in January 2024 Vilas County is restricting the maximum number of guests to six. Vilas County is also requiring a minimum of seven consecutive days for each booking. I have adjusted my calendar pricing on specific weeks during fall, winter and spring months to help those that only want to book for four days but have to pay for seven reduced price days to be compliant with Vilas County. Cozy retreat with every modern amenity!

House was wonderful with everything we needed for our week long stay! Very comfortable and exceptionally clean! The landscaping and grounds and beautiful and enjoyable to either sit by the fire pit or just hang around on the dock! Location is fantastic being minutes from great restaurants and downtown. Would definitely recommend this lovely home!

Sisters week in the Northwoods

We absolutely loved our stay at this home! We enjoyed hiking, biking, boating, fishing and everything else the Northwoods has to offer in the summer. We would for sure rent this home again, it was fully stocked with everything we needed and more and the communication with the host was great!

Christmas stay

This was a very nice cabin on a nice lake. We received lots of snow but still had plenty of things to do. They have some towns close by tjst are very nice and have plenty of things to do.I would recommend this place for 2 family's.

Peaceful Place

Enjoyed the stay at this home very much, very relaxing with a great view. Well equipped kitchen and baths. Cozy and comfortable house. The only tiny little thing I would have liked is a canoe or kayaks, however we did rent some so it wall worked out. I would stay again!

Family Getaway

Very comfortable and cute place. The updated outdoor space was very nice o too! We did everything from play board games, sight seeing, fishing, swimming, and more fishing. Our boat rental was easily tied up to the dock right out front which was very convenient. Great communication.

Back again!

This is our go to vacation home once again! Fourth time! Our host is very accommodating and always available to answer any questions. The most complete kitchen I have ever experienced! No problem cooking ...the view of the lake makes cooking a pleasure. This the best, most beautiful and relaxing experience EVER!

Magical March Getaway

We had such an amazing time! Our first night we got to see the Northern Lights, which was a first for all of us. We made a ton of great memories. We went sledding at Winman Trails and cooked dinner at the house. It was a special place and we will be back again soon! Thank you for opening up your home to us.

Great time in the Northwoods!

Cabin and property was clean and well-stocked with all the essentials for a low-stress getaway in the Northwoods. Backyard was great in the evenings by the fire pit. Early mornings were often spent fishing for panfish off the dock. Within a short drive of a coffee shop (Dixie’s), hikes for waterfalls, lumberjack show, beach, and many other adventures.

Another perfect stay!

Our second time at Winman House and it was once again fabulous. The house has everything you need. The dock is located just right for morning sunrise with coffee. And, so is the deck! The griddle top grill is perfect for all types of dining! The fire pit area and landscaping are beautiful. Can’t say enough great things about this place. Thank you!

Great cabin on a beautiful lake!

Very nice cabin on a great lake. View is beautiful. Excellent outdoor area. Although a little small in the dining area, it served our group of eight people nicely. There is outside dining too. Very nicely decorated and it has a backup generator which is fantastic since the town power went out for a few hours. No electrical disruption to us at all. Great cabin for a family.

Return to Winman

We once again enjoyed our retreat to the Northern Wisconsin territory! Our "home away from home" is the perfect place to relax and rewind. Everything (and I mean everything) that you could possible need is supplied by our host. Best stocked kitchen I've encountered! And the lake view is unmatched! We enjoyed hearing the loons calling out on the lake. Beautiful!

Wonderful Week In The Northwoods!

We had a very comfortable and fun stay at this property with 6 adults and a dog. The property was beautiful, well appointed and very clean. A lot of thought was put into providing comfortable outdoor spaces, and a nice bonus was finding outdoor games, beach towels, swim noodles, etc… for our use. Nice dock for swimming and sunning as well as space for our fishing boat. The owner is also very responsive via text. 100% would recommend!

Fabulous house

Spent our 30th Anniversary on this property, as our honeymoon location no longer existed. It was perfect! Darren is the perfect host and his home is fabulous. Everything you need down to the last detail. We even had a group of deer come visit us in the evenings. We were sad to leave but looking forward to returning.

WINMAN BLISS

We couldn't have stayed at a finer property! The cleanliness was outstanding which isn't always the case when vacationing at rental units. The house had everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) that you could possibly need for a stress free and relaxing stay. And the stars at night ... I have never seen so many beautiful, bright stars! Perfect getaway and the owner was there to answer any question that you might have. Simply outstanding!

One more stay

We had 3 couples that stayed at the house all of us loved the house how it was equipped with what we needed, could sit on the deck in the morning with coffee enjoying the sun rise and enjoy an evening fire on the patio below. The lake was more of a quiet lake to relax and fish which some enjoyed doing. It was a little challenging for some to get to the lake as there were 42 steps to go down, not real good for a few who had health issues. All in all it was wonderful.

Everything we could want in a place...just needed snow!

This was a great place for a family of 5 and could see it working for a couple of families or larger group. The layout is great for cooking/eating/hanging out. Most everything is remodeled and works great. The water had no taste of iron or sulfur, sometimes hard to find up here. The games, TVs, and Wi-Fi all made for great entertainment time. Other than Old Man Winter not cooperating, there's nothing to grumble about with this property. Thanks for a great stay!
