The staff at The Charles were excellent, very friendly and most helpful. A special shoutout to Jan and Eva. Jan works the front desk and he was kind, friendly and helped us find our way around Prague as we do not speak their language. Eva helped us several ways and is truly delighful and helpful as well. Their breakfast is very good, and the location of the Charles is fabulous, 200 meteres from the Charles Bridge and a great starting point to check out many attractions in Prague. Prague is beautiful and defintely a great place to visit. Thank you Jan and Eva.

The Charles Hotel has been nicely updated including large flat screen TV, fast free wifi, and air conditioning. Our room (108) had a very modern bathroom (shower hose in the bathtub). Thanks to the chef, Stephanie, the breakfast is superb, wide variety of savory and sweet items including pastries that are better than those we got at restaurants. Minor negatives: Our room had no desk and the lobby is just a few couches and an armchair, so there was nowhere to work with a laptop. There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner, although plenty nearby. And all night we heard various noises--loud singing and rhythmic rumbling (music bass?) from the bar next door.

Had a nice stay in a 3rd-floor double room at The Charles Hotel. Big pros: super clean, very comfortable bed, delicious food, and incredibly helpful staff! LOCATION is a major pro!! Two main things to be aware of: Noise: Sound travels easily here. You can hear street noise from outside and guests moving around in the hallway/neighboring rooms. The Bathtub: If you're on the shorter side like me, be careful! The edge of the tub is super high (for a 5'4" Asian lady). I almost wiped out twice just trying to get in and out. Also note that the elevator is quite small and only goes as high as the 3rd floor. You will have to use stairs if you're staying on the 4th floor. Overall a nice hotel, just needs a few safety grab bars and better soundproofing!

Great Location for the Charles

Breakfast was amazing, location was terrific a short 2 minute walk from Charles Bridge, room (308) was on the smaller side but worked well, comfortable bed, my only gripe was the shower, it has a tub shower and the water taps come out of the side wall not the end of tub, kept hitting tap with my knees changing the temperature. Overall I’d recommend the Charles Hotel.

Very polite & courteous staff. Manager & Gabriel were very helpful and always looking out for a nice and comfortable stay for us. Hotel is walking distance to most area, tram station and metro. I will definitely stay in this hotel again next time I visit Prague. I will recommend to my friends as well.

All the staff were helpful and very friendly. Great location that is close to trams, food and attractions. Bed mattress felt a little slanty but it was alright. Breakfast was great with many choices. They let us know a week prior to check in that one day water would be out and they gave us huge water bottles and a comped day to ise in future.
