Enter through a screened-in porch - one of three at the house - to find a main-level living space that's open, air conditioned, and full of sunlight, bringing together the living room, the dining area, and the kitchen. The house is directly across from the beach just a 2 minute walk! The Neighborhood: Affectionately referred to by the locals as "small town with a big heart," Port St. Joe has plenty to offer anyone looking for a casual escape from it all. Lounge among the dunes on the soft, sandy beaches, snorkel in the Gulf of Mexico, or hop on a boat for a fishing excursion. Plenty of local restaurants offer up fresh seafood, from sit-down options to casual, waterfront fish shacks. The historic, pedestrian-friendly downtown is a charming spot, filled with antique shops, bistros, green spaces, and a picturesque marina that's perfect for al fresco dining. Getting Around: Parking can accommodate up to (2) vehicles in the driveway parked side to side. Kids will love the array of attractions in Port St. Joe like Forgotten Coast Sea Turtle Center, a sea turtle rescue site with conservation exhibits and information, and George Core Park, a waterside park with a lighthouse and picnic areas. You can also visit St. Joe Beach, a family-friendly beach with soft sand and gentle surf. Other Things to Note: The home is professionally cleaned and sanitized between each guest. We ensure that our cleaners are committed to the highest standards of cleanliness. A refundable security deposit of $250 will be authorized as a hold on your credit card by our system, prior to your arrival. This is a pre-authorization hold, not a charge, and will be released following a damage-free inspection after your departure. Any damages or excessive cleaning needs beyond normal wear and tear will be claimed against this hold. Please be reminded that check-out time is 10AM. In order to prepare our property for the next guests, housekeeping is scheduled to arrive promptly upon check-out. Late check-outs affect housekeeping schedules and future guest reservations. In the event you stay beyond the original scheduled check-out time, you may incur a fee of up to $300\. It is a self-catering home, therefore, we do not refill any supplies during your stay. Each bathroom will have shampoo/conditioner, body wash, a single roll of toilet paper, and hand soap. In the laundry room we provide enough detergent pods for UP TO two (2) loads. In the kitchen, a paper towel roll, a couple of trash bags, dishwashing detergent, and sponge. There is a coffee maker, however coffee is not. Salt/pepper and cooking oil are available for use. If anything is missing, please let us know immediately upon check in so we can arrange restocking. They have thought about every detail and created a beautiful and welcoming home. It is fully stocked with everything you might need in the kitchen, an entire closet of beach gear, plenty of towels, extra blankets, and tons of refrigerator space. I appreciated all of the labels on light switches (because who wants to spend 20 minutes trying to figure out how to turn off the kitchen lights) and how organized everything was. The home is beautiful and the outdoor spaces are fantastic. It’s an easy walk to the beach. We visited with my 80 year old mom and not having to climb steps was perfect.
