In spite of being an older property, the room was clean and updated. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawback was signing into the internet. We finally went to the front desk and they cleared up the confusion quickly.

The good. We stayed in the lighthouse suite and it was certainly large enough for everyone to.be comfortable with tvs near all the beds. Breakfast was decent as well. The bad. You certainly can't see the lighthouse from the lighthouse suite. The stairs up to the second level had certainly seen better days as well. My children's feet were black from the floor, and we all woke up coughing. Not sure if the air conditioner filter simply needed changed or there was a bigger issue. It was perfectly apt for one evening, but we will likely choose a different place for our next overnight adventure.

It's basic! But all the right basics. (BYO soap and shampoo.) Clean!!! Quiet!!! No long wait for hot water, and shower w/ great pressure. Tub. Spacious rooms w/ large high def TV. Frig. and microwave. Good wifi. Friendly helpful staff. Dog friendly. My Australian Shepherd, Oakley was w/ me, and she was very welcome. $20 extra. Oakley gives it a 5 "Woof" rating. Got a deal on Hotels.com for $84 total for the night, + $20 for Oakley. Nice large grass courtyard for frisbee play. Good breakfast in lobby included. Close to beautiful beaches on Lake Huron. Highly recommend.
