The house is a detached stone house near the village Pontós. The farmhouse is situated at 145m altitude and offers a beautiful view out over the valley towards the sea to the east and south. To the north and west, you got the view of the Pyrenees Mountains and its foothills. It is just 20 minutes drive away from the spectacular beaches and coves of the Costa Brava, 15 km from the towns of Figueres where the Dali Museum is situated, from Banyoles with its large lake, and 25 km from Girona with its very attractive old town. Barcelona is situated 130 km south and by car, but also by train, well and quickly accessible.
The farmhouse was built in 1640 on the site of a former Iberian settlement. The house is detached and surrounded by fields and forest. The nature begins thus directly outside the front door. It was renovated very loving and with natural materials. It offers all the comforts of a modern home and a homely atmosphere. The large garden, the architecture of arches and vaults and the thick stone walls takes you to a haven of peace. However, this is combined with the modern amenities. The thick stone walls ensure a pleasant coolness in the house during the summer and a welcoming warmth in winter, which can be increased by a prasseldes fire in the fireplace.
The house is ideal for larger families and group,s for holidays with friends, as well as seminar stays or parties, because 17 people (max. 20) can find easily space and there are enough beds for everybody.
The house includes 300m ² of living space and two floors, six spacious bedrooms, two very large living room, three bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, a separate dining room and a large hall. Both the entrance and the two living room can be transformed in each case for your seminar. All rooms have natural light and views. House facilities include a central heating, kitchen equipment, a dishwasher, a washing machine, two air conditioners, Internet (Wifi) and an outdoor pool. At approximately 2500m ² of outdoor area there are a total of three terraces, a pool, plenty of sun loungers and garden furniture for 15 people, two stone barbecues, a bench and level surface for seminar outdoor activities. Huge old oaks, partially covered terraces, but also spacious grassy areas, not only around the pool, offer many sunny and shady outdoor places, that invite you to linger and relax. 1000 flowers and aromatic fragrances will enchant you in the garden and the surrounding forest and meadow paths.
The house is rented entirely. In the off season, on a daily basis, on weekends and on weekly basis. For small groups, a person price can be agreed. In high season, the rent is based exclusively on a weekly basis.
Electricity, central heating, the final cleaning, bed linen, towels and internet are in the final price.
On request we can organize catering for seminar groups. Otherwise, the house is for self-catering and offers ideal ways to cook together as a small group.
The area offers touristic, cultural, sporting and as well as gastronomic a wealth of activities and attractions. From cycling, hiking, horse riding, motor sport etc directly from the house, over gastronomic routes at sea and to the interior, also the Pyrenees for long walks, trekking and skiing in about 50 km distance, which are visible to the north from the house and at least to numerous water and air activities such as kite surfing, surfing, diving, paragliding, water parks. 15km away is a golf course. Culturally the area offers with ancient Roman and Greek settlements, medieval towns, quaint fishing villages, museums and not at least Barcelona with its modernist buildings all sorts of interesting.
