When you visit the coastal city of Incheon it is impossible to miss the imposing Incheon Bridge, as it crosses the Yellow Sea. See this long, snaking structure both during the day and after dark to witness two totally different sides to its character. Incheon Bridge is the longest bridge in South Korea. It is, in fact, among the longest bridges anywhere in the world. The ultra-robust bridge spans water that is up to 66 feet (20 meters) deep in places. Discover the story of the bridge’s construction at the Incheon Bridge Memorial Hall, which also features an observatory that offers striking ocean and city views. See the bridge during the day. Its impressive length and unusual winding shape draw the eye. Stay until the sun sets, however, and see it transform into something even more magical, as its many curves and bends are lit up by twinkling lights. After taking plenty of photos in front of this instantly recognizable landmark, explore the many other tourist sites in the area. Incheon Bridge is located close to downtown Incheon, making it a convenient spot to incorporate into your itinerary. Walk through the huge red arch that marks the entrance to nearby Chinatown. Spend an afternoon exploring its unique stores and tasting the many specialty foods available here, such as the famous jajangmyeon. This noodle dish is served in a thick black sauce and is the pride of Incheon’s Chinatown area. Alternatively, head to Wolmido Island. This is a very popular weekend destination with many locals. Join them as you forget your worries at the amusement park, stroll in peaceful, manicured gardens and see charming examples of classic Korean architecture. Cross Incheon Bridge by car or bus to reach Incheon International Airport, which is located on an island. As you travel, look out the window to see the stunning Yellow Sea stretching out beneath the bridge. (1,409 reviews) We had a pleasant stay at this hotel overall. The property was clean, well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location was extremely convenient, and the room itself was comfortable and spacious. The only real disappointments were the lack of air conditioning and the absence of a microwave in the room. The absence of air conditioning made the evenings a little uncomfortable, and a microwave would have been useful for quick reheating food. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel provided a great experience, and I would consider staying again - especially if these amenities are added in the future. (558 reviews) Perfect place to stay! Convenient, right smack dab in the Myeongdong Street Market and nearby Myeongdong Station exits 5,6&7\. There’s an elevator and each guest floor has a microwave, sink, tea, coffee, dinnerware, iron/board, trash bins and all the fresh towels to refill your own room. In the room there’s a hairdryer, tv, phone, air conditioner, beverage cooler, bidet, hangers & hooks. 3rd floor Landry room- the detergent is added with your credit card payment. There’s a 6th floor rooftop which was inaccessible during our stay(November 22-30). You must clarify if you want your sheets changed & room cleaned on the 3rd day of your stay. It’s only free if you stay more than 5 days. The staff does empty your trash & take out your old towels daily. The Korean staff at the entrance kiosk check in & checkout and on the hotel phone were all very pleasant, helpful and welcoming. The Japanese cleaning staff were indifferent & useless if you need help. They literally just stare at you, annoyed that you tried to speak to them. In the end, no frills hotel but it covers all the basics a traveler from abroad needs during their visit. The price was very competitive. I got lucky I chose this place. I would recommend Hotel Myeongdongjang to everyone who wants to stay in Seoul.
