A cosy getaway you won't want to leave
Casita Rica offers a cosy 1 bedroom retreat with spectacular views of the Huon River and beyond, located a 30min drive south of Huonville. A light filled open living/dining/full kitchen with sweeping views of the tree line and water provides a warm, winter hideaway. Enjoy your early morning cuppa out on the deck while chatting with the local birdlife - really, its up to you. 15-20 mins from local towns of Geeveston and Dover. Easy day trips to Cockle Bay, the Tahune, Hobart, Bruny Island and Hartz Mountain National Park, Idyllic beaches, bushwalking, plentiful local produce and weekend Markets. Or kick back in front of our fire, while playing cards, board games or just reading from our library of books.
NOTE Due to the frustration of Covid Lockdowns and the unpredictable nature of our current Domestic Travel, we will honour any cancellation due to Government Restrictions, and provide a credit for accommodation at a later date of your preference (subject to availability). No cancellation fee will be applied in this instance. Should you need to cancel / postpone your stay, please message me through the app with your phone details and we will be in touch.

Very warm and welcoming. Beautiful atmosphere and convenient that water and butter and jam were in the fridge so you don’t have to bring EVERYTHING. I would definitely stay again.

A stunning getaway in Huon Valley
It was so difficult to leave Casita Rica. The tranquil setting, immaculate abode and warm hospitality made our few days exploring the Huon Valley without a doubt one of our most favourite getaways.

Gorgeous cabin in gorgeous spot
Casita Rica is lovely. The owners created something quite special in this little cabin. Lots of nice touches, the layout is great and well appointed, the view is to die for, it's very private and the area is simply stunning. One of the nicest little holiday houses we've stayed in, in a long time. I'm sure we'll be back at some stage
