Weekend getaway

First room we got to had a door that did not lock. Felt very unsafe. Staff upgraded us to a larger room on a different floor that had fully working locks.

One of the three TV sets was broken. The lounge chair in living room broken. Spa tube worked great. No house cleaning over the three nights in the room. Had to use same towels all three days.

Thanksgiving holiday family trip

We enjoyed our stay at River Place condos in Pigeon Forge. The condo was spacious for a large family gathering and very convenient to most tourist locations.

Anniversary Trip

The room that we stayed in was an updated room. Clean. Well maintained. Beautiful view of the creek. The water pressure in the showers could be better. Other than that, we were well pleased with our room.

Good option for families or larger groups.

Condo was clean and well kept. Just a few minor things keep this from being a 5 star review: 1) When we arrived we were told that the condo owner of the 3 bedroom condo had pulled it for the weekend. While they had plans to accommodate us, and it worked out, this makes me nervous for any future reservations. 2) No shampoo 3) room key is old fashioned normal key as opposed to newer digital keys. This may be a security concern for some. 4)master bed is overly soft (old?). 4) Location, while conveniently walkable to several things, is in an area that is undergoing construction. All that being said, the 2 bedroom condo was really nice, with good sized covered balcony. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Not what I was expecting for the price!!!

When we arrived, there was a number to call and no one was in the office. I called the number and she said the keys were in the room, and the room was unlocked. The room was not what I was expecting for a condo and for the price. The paint was peeling on the walls, and the room smelled really bad upon arrival. The extra pillows had stains all over them. I was also charged an extra fee of $45 for cleaning. A paper in the room states $15 is charged per day for houshousekeeping. I told the lady in the office, and she told me that it was not correct and there was no way housekeeping would cost that less. We never received any cleaning for the room, and we had to take our own trash to the dumpsters. Some features in the room were nice, such as the fireplace and view of the river on the outside porches. However, the rest did not meet our expectations at all, especially the staff service there.

Poorly cleaned condo

I stayed with my family the condo was poorly cleaned. It had really old furniture in poor condition. In the guest bathroom there was urine towels under the sink that was really gross. The bed in the master bedroom had the springs out just horrible there should be a policy on mattresses to how long they should be kept. I feel they need to update there condo. I would not recommend anyone to stay there.

In my recent stay at River Place Condos I was very disappointed. I stayed in room 706. There were holes in the wall, the fireplace quit working after the first day, the water would not drain from the bathtub unless you stood there and held the plug up yourself, and the hot water heater ran out after filling the bathtub up. The room needs to be updated and renovated badly. I felt very misled. I will not recommend River Place Condos to anyone. I was very disappointed.

Okay place to stay

Wow - first trip to Pigeon Forge - what a tourist trap. Gatlinburg seems calmer. Condo on a back road parallel to the main street. Could walk to some restaurants. Room decor dated, jacuzzi was relaxing after dealing with traffic. You bag your own trash and are supposed to load dishwasher before you leave but no detergent and it leaked. Maids left a envelope for their tip but we had no maid service - you bag your own used towels and leave outside your door. Had to ask front desk for TV channel listing as it isn't in the room. Front desk staff helpful.

It needs some updating and the staff was not present at all. After check in the office was locked and no one was present all the way through check out. The room was clean and the beds were nice though.

Anniversary Weekend Getaway

The rooms was nice. LOVED the balcony!! The swing was a big hit with me. I thought it might be loud at night because of the rides so close by, but we didn't hear a thing. The room overall was clean. The only things I had a problem with were that the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes when we arrived at the room, and there is mold in the ceiling in the bathroom. The light wasn't working in the bathroom when we arrived but I called the front desk the next morning and they sent someone up to replace the bulb. The light cover fell off in the middle of the night and scared us. lol Guess he didn't get it snapped in good when he replaced the bulb. I didn't like that there wasn't anyone there to check us in when we arrived. Our key was left in the room we were staying in. I didn't like that just because of safety reasons. Overall we enjoyed our stay there and will be booking rooms with them again when we take our kids with us in the fall.

Such a contradiction. Room was on the first floor facing parking lot and road - had ripped curtains in living room, fireplace kept going out, key was difficult to turn in door, & some dust on doors. Floors were clean, rooms/beds were clean and comfortable, furniture in living room was very comfortable. When the fireplace went out the first time they responded right away to light. Then we tried to reach the office over the weekend for the internet connection and no response to 2 voice mail messages.

Love the area we were in. The kitchen was a little lacking in some supplies; so I had to buy a few things. I left them there for the next occupant/renter of the condo. The HOA woman that I spoke to was polite and lovely, very helpful and nice. We had a lot of fun, and will rent from them again when we go back in the future!

Thought it was weird that there was no one there to check you in. They left hotel room unlocked and the key on the table that was a little odd. Rooms were OK but not as nice as the pictures featured on the website. Overall it was just OK, don't think I would stay there again.

Gas Logs and a Jacuzzi tub

Everything was nice, the mattress on the hide away bed was a little bumpy, said my children that are 10 and 8 but the king size bed had a memory foam topper on it that we left them have the next night and the king bed was still very comfortable. When we travel we don't really care what the room looks like since we will be out and about for most of the time but the Jacuzzi tub was nice and so were the gas logs!! Really enjoyed our stay.

Great For Families

I plan to stay here again. It was In a good location close to favorite activities. My son and his family that included 3 small children enjoyed family time and privacy at the same time. Very accommodating for families. Great view of the mountains and the main drag. Loved it!

Very nice place with plenty of room. Good location in comparison to attractions we wanted to go to.
