The only fault I would note was that the room was dusty, but that is a very minor point. He was very knowledgeable about the history of this 1917 amazing home. He added much detail to each room in terms of decor, displays, reading materials, and special collections. His breakfast was an example of perfection and creativity. It was delicious! We loved our Mathersa room which was beautifully decorated, but each room was special in its own way. The bed was comfortable. The whole house was just amazing! We booked a tour of the Pendleton Underground and Bordello. Very interesting history of Pendleton. Our bed was comfortable, and that was a plus. The decor was intrguing. We appreciated the kind greeting upon arrival. But, our room was covered in a thick coat of dust. The rug needs to be cleaned as the once cream-colored item is now a seriously dirty beige. We did haveva balcony but did not feel comfortable using it after being told it was simply too hot and dirty, so if we wanted to sit outside, we should use the downstairs porch/balcony. This was a "lengthy talking point.) We checked on on Fridsy night, hoping to enjiy a little breakfast before heading back out towards our next destination on Saturday. Unfortunately, we were told breakfast is not served until 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays, and we could not hang around for that long.
