We stayed at Peaceful Hollow for my son's Hampstead, Md wedding. The house was immaculately clean and comfortable for everyone. The location was perfect for us. It is truly peaceful and the country setting is beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed the rest and the property.
Me and my bridal party stayed here for my wedding weekend. We were so excited to find this spot so close to our venue! The property is a beautiful historic house but is renovated and nicely furnished/equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. Perfect for a quiet getaway with family and friends. Hosts were communicative and easy to get in touch with.
This lovely farm house provided my family a comforting retreat during a difficult time. We stayed in the farm house and attended a funeral at the local church. The house was a nice calming escape. The grounds were lovely and the house was beautiful.
Thank you for sharing your home with us.
The house and property are beautiful. Full amenities from olive oil, coffee, ziplock bags and sharp knives in the kitchen to qtips, hair dryer and shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the bathrooms. The host was very responsive and our family had a great time slowing down and spending time outside. Thanks for a great stay!
Great weekend at the house. It was very clean and comfortable. Check in and check out we’re very easy. Great screened in porch for drinking coffee in the morning. Highly recommend!
Peaceful Hollow lived up to its name. Peace and quiet in a beautiful setting. The house was so comfortable, the decor lovely. Kitchen was well appointed. The whole experience had extra touches of care and consideration. We enjoyed our stay there immensely and wholeheartedly recommend this property.
Great property with a great balance of old and modern. Everything we needed was provided. Also saw several deer while driving into driveway. House was clean and just what we needed after a long drive.
A group of us stayed at this home for our friends wedding weekend and it was perfect. Such a cute place for us all to hang and catchup with plenty of space, wonderful beds, and the ability to spread out if we needed space and get ready together and just be with one another for the weekend.
The house was beautiful. So secluded and quiet. The kitchen had everything. Very clean yard well kept. Very detailed in everything. Fire pit was great, wonderful screened porch to sit on at night. Outside games and seating and chairs for outside available. My daughter got married at Hummingbird Chateau. We rented the house for the family to stay in for the time we were there for the event. So convenient to everything. Loved it!
Our family enjoyed an absolutely lovely stay at peaceful hollow farm in July while visiting DC and Gettysburg. The home had all the necessary amenities, and we especially enjoyed the serenity of sitting on the back porch in the evening, listening to a host of birds in song. Thank you for sharing such a uniquely secluded spot!
This home is immaculate. It is lovingly restored. The property allows for tremendous privacy. The only thing to consider - stairs are steep farmhouse steps to get to the bedrooms. We tremendously enjoyed this home.
We were in the area for an event at The Coppermine Pantherplex and opted to stay locally instead of driving an hour for 3 days in a row.The house was perfect for me and my family. The property is clean and everything you could need while there was available (and clearly marked with labels).Notes: This would NOT be a good option if you have anyone with mobility issues. The staircase going upstairs is very narrow and not carpeted. I would also suggest a baby gate if you are bringing children. There are 2 bathrooms but one is one the main level next to the laundry room (I used this bathroom instead for my early mornings which worked out great from disturbing other family members). Our check-in email stated no televisions, but there is a tv in the main family room but an online account is needed to access (Netflix, etc). The hot tub is set to a low temperature, so if you plan to use it I would suggest turning it up when you get there. We did not use it due to limited time at the house.
We were traveling for an Agility Trial in Westminster. Had 2 people 4 dogs. Property was perfect for us. Had an ample room for the dogs to play and exercise that is not fully fenced but so far off the road that it was not an issue ( all these dogs have great recalls). House was perfect and very user friendly.

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was so beautiful and peaceful! We were in town for a wedding and this was a great place to stay with family and our dog. The screened porch was my favorite place to spend time! The home has been beautifully updated while maintaining the farmhouse charm. Only complaint is the noise…the doors are loud and you do hear them if someone else gets up in the night - may want to bring a sound machine if you are a light sleeper. But it was nice that fans were provided, as this did help! House was clean and well stocked with towels and other necessities. Would definitely recommend!
My husband and I met our daughter and her four children here, and we had such a relaxing visit. The yard was perfect for the grandkids to play. Lots of shade trees for us to sit under during the hot days. House was big enough for all of us to gather when it was too humid to be outside. It was perfect to have queen beds in 3 of the bedrooms, which allowed ample sleeping space. It would be good to have more of the AC to flow upstairs, but the fans provided helped keep it cool for us. The perfect farmhouse.
Peaceful Hollow is such a beautiful and, yes, peaceful place to stay. Everything our family needed was there to make our stay comfortable. I loved there is no TV to distract everyone, instead we played games, talked, read, and colored together. And the grands loved the bunkbeds and exploring the farm.
The house really is so beautiful and well updated while leaving all the original elements and charm in place. It has plenty of room to play, or to get away for an afternoon nap.
I really can't think of a single thing missing that would have made our stay more enjoyable. I can't wait to come back again.
It is a wonderful old farmstead in a hollow between corn fields. A 19th century house at its core, which has been remodeled to have modern bathrooms and kitchen. Great place for a peaceful weekend get away. It would also be nice for a family visit since there is plenty of space for the kids to run around.
If you want to see stars or enjoy rural darkness, ask them to turn off the flood light over the garage. We were surprised and disappointed when it came on automatically at twilight and lit up the whole yard.
