(99 reviews) The property was nice for a large family to stay. It fit our entire family which was nice but it’s not shiny new. Road noise at night is obnoxious but we were near the front. The photos make it look perfect but it’s not. The area around is kinda sketchy but it is Jaco Beach. The hotel is walking distance to the beach and the main strip. The staff was the best part of the property. They were super friendly and the activities director was amazing. I would stay at this property again given the cost we paid vs other name brand hotels / properties. Overall I enjoyed our stay but it was because of the people that worked there. (22 reviews) Finca Sunset Monteverde was absolutely outstanding — easily one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The house is clean, new, and beautifully designed, with attention to detail everywhere. The views are truly out of this world and something you’ll never get tired of, whether it’s morning coffee or sunset. The host went above and beyond by leaving a welcome basket with beer, wine, eggs, local fruits and bread, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch. Everything about this stay exceeded our expectations. We absolutely loved it and would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone visiting Monteverde.
