Great room and location, but being that close to the locks during construction was not very easy to get to sleep with a loud hum from construction. But would stay there again.

When we got check they said pool was broke .could not swim they said because we booked on Expedia they would move us to another hotel that had a pool

Property could use some updating but that is to be expected in up north Michigan. You come up here to experience the outdoors not to sit in a hotel room. Despite being an older hotel, everything was very clean. Everything worked as should. Pool and hot tub temperature was perfect. Breakfast was decent for a continental breakfast and consisted of your normal stuff as well as eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy. My family and I would stay here again.

Conveniently located off the highway and close to everything. Clean room. Great rate.

Front desk seems to hold a grudge towards Expedia rentals. Attitude is bad. Dislike that we can't move from one room to another etc. Not their fault I suppose but it's the first year I've felt places don't like Expedia renters. Other than that, hotel is good. Renovations on hotel are excellent.
