Very serene and quiet place with a small but beautiful onsen (hot pool and outside rockpool). Right there he walk to the Buddhist temple along the Kansii River starts. A most outstanding forest walk with many Buddhist features along the way. Taxi to the property was inexpensive and affordable from the train station as well. On suite onsen and private bath is a must have feature with a clear view to the river below and the forest. Dinner serve in room was beyond exceptional. Breakfast was a little disappointing but still good. Loved the half board and the environment. It is remote but easy to get to as long as you pay attention to the bus schedule and plan ahead. It’s only a 15 mins bus ride from the Kumatori station. It’s a great escape from the city and late night emergency siren. The view from the room was stunning. Cherry blossoms were right outside the window within reach. The staff was friendly despite the language barrier. Communication about the shuttle service was clear. It might have been nicer if the shuttle service information was also shared and open for booking by email or Expedia chat box 2 days before the check in day, so we could have taken their shuttle.
