The cabin was about 40 mins from Pickett State Park group camp. The cabin was perfect for what we needed. The wrap around porch was really nice to have and our daughter loved it and the slide across the street. We didn't use the large gazebo but it was beautiful and would be great for hanging out. We cooked and spent most of our time in this cabin. The only complaint that we have is that the stove/oven did not have a handle on the oven door and that the oven itself and the large left front burner had no temperature control. It's quiet, comfortable and cozy. We did have a few issues to mention: 1\. The front porch light doesn't work (can be scary if you are alone) and one of the lamps in the living area was out. 2\. The oven isn't working properly. We burnt two meals, one with the temp set on 150 degrees when it was supposed to be set on 350, and it burnt it to a crisp in 8 minutes. We think the thermostat is out. It would get super hot no matter what you put in on. Also, there's no real restaurants in the area so burnt food is super inconvenient. 3\. There are bears, and the trash cans aren't bear proof. We had a bear come up onto the porch to check the trash can while we were sitting on the same porch! We drove around and saw that he got into 6 other cabins garbage, so he's a regular. 4\. Our food froze in the refrigerator. ##### Leigh Ann D. We loved the small stream in the back, that made it so relaxing to sit on the back porch and enjoy the view. Some things to note for those booking: There is NO WYFY. We tried the password on the router multiple times, but it doesn't work. The service in the area is non existent, so I could not even make a call. The parking is across the narrow street. It's not a big deal, but you cannot park right up next to the cabin. Bring your own toilet paper, there was only about 1/3 of a role there. No bath mat, that we could find. There is only salt and pepper in the kitchen, no condiments or other spices/staples. There are dishes and pans. The beds are really tall, if you're a short person. We could not locate a washer and dryer any where in the cabin, even though the instructions read "put on a load of towels when you leave" ##### Leigh Ann D.
