Apr 13, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### A great place to stay A beautiful property with bags of charm. It was very well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our hosts had left a lovely welcome basket and texted to make sure we had everything we needed. Well placed for visiting Rutland water and exploring the local area. It didn’t bother us but one thing to consider if you have light sleepers in your party: Inevitably as an old property the upstairs floors creak a bit which some may find disturbing. ##### Coleen R. The village of Empingham is so pretty and our hound loved going to nearby Rutland water. We would without hesitation stay here again. Thank you both so much. ##### David P. May 10, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Family visit Loved the cottage and the welcome was truly wonderful! We did have problems with Maisie as there is no safe place to let her out as the cottage opens onto the road, also all the area around Rutland water is dogs on leads only so sadly no proper exercise there. We did find a truly wonderful walk around Empingham along the river through plantations of newly planted trees and the most incredible display of wildflowers, excellent! ##### Christine K.
