i booked this hotel in march 2026 via Expedia for a 2 night stay at the Tudor House Hotel it was a 200 mile trip but when i went to check in they said they had no booking for me disbite all my printed confirmations i was turned away Expedia are uncontactable as a result i will NEVER USES EITHER OF THESE 2 COMPANIES SO IT TOTTALY RUINED MY PLANED WEEKEND AND HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO DRIVE THE 200 MILES BACK HOME ABSOLUTLEY DISGUSTED IN BOTH COMPANIES

We booked the Tudor House hotel through Expedia. We turned up on the day of our booking and was informed we didn't have a booking as the booking was for the previous day and the room had been given to someone else. We showed the staff our booking which was for that day and was told their system showed the booking was for the previous day and we didn't have a room. They were full. Whilst the receptionist was helpful to us we were still left with no accommodation for the weekend. The receptionist told us that Expedia had done that with other bookings too. We were left with no accommodation on one of the hottest days of the year, we don't have our own transport so left to our own devices and the whole of the city was fully booked for the cricket. Cannot give a positive review of Expedia or the hotel.

This hotel is very tired and dreary, the worst hotel we have ever stayed. Our own fault for trying to buy on the cheap - lesson learn't ! Only good point was its location I would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances

Exactly what you would expect given the price. Rooms are tired and not the cleanest. Carpets and decoration look tired and the room smelt smoky but it was perfect for a bed to sleep in for a very affordable price. Bear in mind that photo ID is needed at check-in and car parking spaces fill up early.

The shower was backing up over our feet. It was so disgusting we didn't have a shower to go to the wedding. We travelled all the way from the West Midlands. Not to mention how cold it was and none of the heating worked. Day light robbery.

My concerning point was that the dates on the booking done by Expedia were incorrect when I arrived my booking wasn't there it was booked for Saturday and Sunday but on my online booking it was booked for the Friday and Saturday night which was correct so when I got to the property there was no room for me they did try to accommodate me but there were no doubles to get put me in twin rooms secondly the condition of the hotel sadly was in really bad repair and the rooms that we looked at were just not tidy I could do with some serious work to do it with the rooms holes and walls damage blinds etc we just felt that it wasn't a good place to stay I have contacted the website to get a refund and I do have the insurance but personally I wouldn't recommend the hotels a place to stay staff tried to accommodate and I'll give them marks for that but other than that yeah experience was not great

The kitchen had no cooking utensils pots and pans. The rooms were filthy the chairs had stains on them, the bed frames had stains on them. No toiletries the toilet was leaking.

Nice hotel. Booked a twin room but got a family room! Ideal for a short stay if visiting Motorpoint Arena. Not the Ritz but great for the price. Will definitely stay again if I’m going to an event in Nottingham 👍

The bed was ok, clean sheets and towels but smell a bit strange, for one night after party is a good, for this price you can not complain. Is loud in there you can hear everything, they can add earplugs for every room that will be nice. Overall not that bad 😊

The check in was easy enough and the lady on the desk was welcoming and friendly. There was a fusty smell throughout the corridors. The room comprised of a hallway that lead to a kitchen which led to the bathroom and the bedroom. The only heated rooms were the bedroom and the hallway. The kitchen smelt of cigarette smoke and was really cold the bathroom was also very cold and smelt damp. The bed was comfy slid across the floor and moved easily on several occasions my bed had moved away from the head board and my pillow fell down the back of the bed which led to a night of broken sleep that ended just before 6 am when someone in the courtyard below decided to drag a biffer bin loudly across the yard creating a lot of noise in the process. When attempting to shower, the water pressure was non existent and the temperature of the shower was freezing and eventually became luke warm after several minutes waiting to see if it would get any warmer. My room had no towels upon arrival resulting in a trip down several flights of stairs and venturing through the smelly corridors to retrieve the towels. I am not sure whether the room had been thoroughly serviced before I arrived the floor had definitely not recently been vacuumed and there was a mysterious sticky patch right next to the bed. For the price I expected basic. I did not expect poor amenities and unclean facilities. Needless to say I left as soon as I got dressed and would not return or recommend to others.
