Great place to stay beautiful property by the river

We had a great time . The cabin was very nice and clean and Tom was in contact incase we needed anything . We traveled around the area and out further on our motorcycles , great roads and small town places to eat .

Amazing house on river

My friends and I rented this house for a weekend reunion trip and amazed at the setting of the house on the river and all the amenities. The decks overlooking the river are very nice and tranquil. We will be renting this place in future visits to North Vernon and area.

Quiet Restful Hideaway

Our stay was awesome! It was so nice, quiet, and restful even though we were there for only a short time. The boys loved playing in the water and riding in the kayak. It was great to just unplug and enjoy nature. Thanks so much! We will definitely recommend this place to others.

This was the absolute perfect spot to get away. The views of the river and being on a quiet dirt road out in the country. Definitely felt like a home away from home. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner at night! Can’t wait to be back there again!

This home in North Vernon was such a pleasant place to stay. The host was attentive and responsive. The home was very clean and the host thought of everything. The host provided fruit, essentials in case you forgot anything such as toothbrushes, deodorant and plenty of activities such as a kayak. We all especially enjoyed the massage chair. If we return to Indiana we will want to stay here again. Accommodations were so much better than staying at the only hotel in town. Thank you, Tom for your hospitality.

Amazing!!

This is our second time staying at Tom’s house and it was absolutely perfect! He is such a great host and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine, fresh fruits and cookies! We even told him we would not be in until late so he went over and turned all the lights on for us to make it easier for us when we got there! Our favorite thing to do is sit out on the porch and read a book! The pups loved walking around the woods. It is also so close to town for groceries! We love this spot and it feels like we are right at home when we are there! We look forward to staying there again next year!

Perfect Getaway Experience!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful cabin. The property is exactly as described, if not better. The cabin was well stocked with everything you need. There was even a basket of supplies in case you forgot something. The fresh baked cookies added a welcoming touch and they were oh so yummy! The cabin was a perfect place to invite friends and family over to "our house" to visit and catch up! We couldn't have found a better place to stay in this small town. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a home away from home feel. I'm looking forward to staying here again when I visit family again next year. Thank you Tom for being such a great host!

We highly recommend staying at this cabin if your looking for natures beauty and a relaxing place to stay. The host has this place totally set up for you to enjoy your stay. I suggest you go check in first to see what you need to buy as the kitchen is totally set up with any staples you could need right down to the spices. Bathroom and laundry supplies are there too. We had fresh flowers some right off the property. Fresh baked cookies abd a fruit basket We were in town for a wedding and will definitely be going back as we have family there. Don't miss out on your chance to stay here if your in the area. We have stayed in vacation rentals from Michigan, Tennesee, and Florida. This place is absolutely one of the best !

Perfect family getaway

We found this house on VRBO and chose it for a quick and quiet family getaway for the last week of summer before the school year starts. Everything about this place was perfect! The house was very clean and everything we needed and more was available for our use. From toiletries to fresh garden produce dropped off by Tom twice during our stay, fresh baked cookies waiting when we arrived, tubes and toys for the kids to play with in the river, a plethora of books to read, games, and the list goes on. The location is beautiful and peaceful, a perfect place to relax, read, have coffee on the deck, and for the kids to just play all day with no distractions. The pictures in the listing are really just a small glimpse of the natural beauty of this property. We would absolutely recommend Tom’s house and would love to return in the future, I’d love to see the view from the deck in the fall! Thank you, Tom, for your hospitality and for being willing to share this beautiful home that you’ve obviously put a lot of time, thought, and work in to!

I was drawn to this property for the close proximity to the river. It did not disappoint! The leaves were beautiful & the sound of the river was so soothing & relaxing. I spent quite a bit of time on the deck taking in the magnificence of the area. We also loved how close we were to North Vernon so could easily run into town for food!

A wonderful home

Tom's house was perfect for our family of seven. Our kids enjoyed playing in the Muscatatuck river behind the house and we thoroughly enjoyed the sights and sounds of the forest around us. The house was very well equipped for all of our needs. Of all the rental properties we've stayed at, this was our favorite so far.

Amazing Property

It is a beautiful location, and the house was great. My sister, niece and I were there visiting family in Seymour, so this location was great. We really enjoyed the decks, and just being able to unwind. Tom was wonderful, he was good about staying in touch, and even left a bottle of wine, flowers and fruit for us when we arrived. We were not lacking for anything. I am already planning another trip to IN, and hoping this property is available when we come back up!
