  • Acorn cottage is a spacious one bedroom cottage with a sensitive application of traditional and modern facilities and equipped to a high standard and level of comfort. The large light and airy lounge/diner situated upstairs features a log burner to ensure you remain cosy and comfortable on cold evenings.
    The attractive patio which is accessed from the lounge is the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the beautiful Devon countryside.
    Centrally located in the picture postcard village of Stokeinteignhead with the benefit of a well stocked village shop and the highly rated pub 'The Church House Inn' just a stroll away. (Closed on Mondays)
    lf you want to venture further we can recommend fabulous pubs & restaurants in the area, with excellent reviews.
    We are just a short distance from Shaldon, the Teign estuary and the South Devon coast path offering some fabulous views to sea, the rolling Devon countryside and Just a 5 minute drive to the nearest beach at Maidencombe.
    Within a short drive there are several other beaches, the Torbay Riviera, golf courses & the stunning Dartmoor National Park-which is well worth a visit.
    With so many places to see you really are spoilt for choice, making this charming cottage a perfect escape for couples who wish to explore this lovely area.
    So make yourself comfortable, relax and enjoy a glass of wine with our compliments!

We had a really lovely time. Maddy and her husband are such warm and welcoming hosts. They were always up for a quick chat and happy to give us tips on places to visit. We really enjoyed the cosy little terrace :) We’d love to come back!

Es war eine wunderschöne Woche.Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl in der traumhaften Wohnung.Das kleine Dorf ist wie in einem Bilderbuch.Devon ist einfach eine sagenhafte Gegend, mit Steilküsten, Stränden und beschaulichen Häfen. Lovely hosts who were very welcoming and helpful with ideas of what to do.Accommodation was clean and perfect for 2 people with everything that you needed.Village shop and pub 40 yards down the road.Very quiet location but in a good location to go out to places.Would recommend and we hope to return.

The cottage was warm and welcoming on arrival with lovely christmas decorations and a basket of goodies. The log burner was perfect for cold evenings. It was ideally positioned for sightseeing. The local pub across the road is ideal for an evening meal or just drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

An idyllic cottage property in a stunning location ! The cottage is a really charming property and suited our needs for a weekend away perfectly. It is very well appointed, clean, spacious with everything you might need. The little garden terrace is beautiful for sitting outside surrounded by the plants and flowers with only the buzz of bees, and the chirp of birds to break the quiet. The location is perfect, set in a little village with friendly people and a local pub, which is also friendly, warming and lovely for a visit. Then other places of interest are not far away such as Totnes, Ness cove or Teignmouth which has a nice beach !All in all cannot fault the property and Maddy the host was welcoming and friendly and came by to check we had everyting we needed and she had also answered any queries promptly before arriving.I would highly recommend this property.Thank you !

The cottage was all & more than we expected with attention to detail & everything provided to make it a home from home situated in a charming village. Property owner was very welcoming & provided lots of information on areas to visit in the locality. The local shop is incredibly well stocked & the local pub, The Church House Inn only yards along the road from the cottage was warm & welcoming serving excellent food from a wide menu meaning there was no need to travel out of an evening for a meal.
