Breakfast is at the Olive Tree cafe in the village and is well worth the walk. The satnav takes you to the center of the village but the lodge is actually on the very edge of the village. Plenty of space to park the car. Stunning location by the river, where we spent the evenings in the gazebo enjoying the views and a glass of Baileys . The room was spotlessly clean with high quality bedlinen and furnishings. Also separate lounge if weather not great. The hosts make you feel so welcome and provide a lot of formation about where to eat and visit in the area. This is a fabulous property if you want to be completely off the beaten track. There is no dining available and breakfast is offered in a different location. The town has only 2 places to eat which get booked quickly. The weather wasn't kind to us so we didn't get a chance to enjoy the beautiful gardens but hopefully we can put that right at some point in the future . Breakfast at The Olive Tree was just a short walk/drive away and was tasty and plentiful and we couldn't resist buying a couple of cakes for later ! Everything about our stay was excellent. Superb host and hostess and breakfast was very tasty using local produce.
