Great location and easy check in but needed a good cleaning
It was a good location with great wineries, restaurants and hiking nearby. Also very dog friendly, peaceful and quiet. However, the place needed a good cleaning.
My husband and I stayed for two nights during a trail run event. The house had everything we needed and was in a nice, private location for a reasonable price.
We were visiting the Finger Lakes area and used this cute place as our homebase. Super quiet with lots of privacy and the hottub was a fantastic addition after a full day on our feet. House was clean and we had everything we needed to cook some of our meals.
Retreat of Falling Waters lives up to the property name!
Our stay at the Retreat of Falling Waters was nothing short of magical. We loved exploring the waterfall, playing the board games provided, and enjoying meals at the quaint kitchen table. Just plan to bring your own drinking water because the well water connected to the property isn’t really safe to drink! Thank you so much to the incredibly communicative host!
We stayed here last weekend and the overall experience was amazing. I absolutely recommend it if ur looking for a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing and natural environment and experience. The houre is supper cozy the hot tub was definitely a peark. The nearby restaurants have great food and there are amazing views everywhere (especially the waterfall in the back of the house).
We enjoyed our stay and felt like it was a good deal for the price. The hot tub was definitely the highlight!Big caveat: The path from the parking spot up to the house was steep, muddy, and slippery. It was fine for us, but just be aware if that's a concern for you.
Location was perfect, close to Naples, beautiful backyard. Would have given 5 stars if shower was updated (peeling paint on basin, drain not cleaned out), cumbersome hot tub cover (but we were able to maneuver it as two women), and added maybe a few touches like dish detergent, soap in the shower, or a bottle of wine. Thank you for having us!

I would definitely come here again. The cottage was beautiful, well-maintained stocked with everything you could need washer dryer microwave. The hot tub was excellent. Much needed after our motorcycle trip in from Pennsylvania. Communication was great Ian was a great communicator and definitely a reliable and nice person.
Very nice and quiet place for us to get away from city life the cabin/house was very nice and clean and very welcoming. The hot tub was great to relax in, we had fire every night and it was a full moon on the last night we stay and that was gorgeous bright and peaceful.
The water falls behind the house was amazing can’t want to go back in the spring to see the water flowing down it.
Thank you for inviting us to the winery you owe very nice place and the coffee was awesome and the blue whale was a great drink for me since I don’t drink a lot
Thank you again and hope to see you in the spring
We really enjoyed this quiet location. It was perfect for us and our plans to hike Clark’s Gully which is a few miles away. Naples is a sweet little town. Grimes Glenn and Conklin's Gully are also near by if you are into gorge hiking! The waterfall in the back yard was dried up during our stay. We will have to come back sometime when the water is flowing! We enjoyed the hot tub! The water at this home is very hard and does have an odor which is also noted in their description. I do recommend bringing your own drinking water.
While the location of the house was great-close to town, close to a hiking trail, great for pets-the property itself needs some tlc. I had to wash the shower curtain liner-it was gross with mold. The bottom of the shower had paint peeling off and paint chips were blocking the drain. There was no dish washing liquid and no dishwasher and we were expected to wash all the dishes on departure. No hand soap in the bathroom.
On a positive note, the beds were comfortable and the living room was a good place to hang out-great view out the front windows.

Cute stay, needs some TLC
Pros
Comfy living room
Looks good (doesn't look like pictures)
Front bedroom bed is really comfortable
Hot tub
Convient location
Cons
Floor is slimey and dirty. I think they cleaned it and slime might have been from the supply used.
The white towels have stains and are super rough - I understand stains happen, but so can bleach. Also, new towels dont cost that much.
The toilet seat is obviously worn, which is minor, however considering a new seat is $20, why not use part of the $175 to get one.
Paint at the bottom of the shower is coming up.
The shower curtain is moldy.
The bathroom as a whole left a unclean feeling, and it wouldnt take much to make it better.
The house could use a super deep clean w soft scrub. There was random hair clusters, dust on the tables, some of dishes were still obviously dirty and had hair on them.
I truly just expected better based on price and previous reviews
We rented this gem to visit my son for his birthday. The space was perfect for 2 adult couples. They have obviously remodeled and remedied any shortcomings mentioned in previous reviews. The shower was clean, no paint peeling and spacious. The kitchen is huge and has amazing views of the waterfall. Everything we needed was there upon check in - sponge, soaps in kitchen/bathroom, laundry detergent, tons of towels, hair dryer, etc. There is a propane grill for cooking and the kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and pots/pans. The wifi was strong and we had no issues streaming TV/movies and music to our phones (or disconnect and play a board game - there are tons there). The house is decorated lovely; the beds were very comfy and we loved all of the extra blankets in the closet as well as a large fan (if you love white noise for sleeping like we do)!! Best of all we enjoyed the hot tub every night which was warm and clean - the perfect ending to every day. We can't wait to go back in the Spring when the waterfall is running and to do some fishing. There is a boat launch/fishing area across from the house and while its a bit of an uphill walk to get up to the house, they do supply a utility wagon for bringing your stuff up. All in all - we loved our stay and will be back soon!!
*There is only seating for up to 4 in the living room, which requires 3 adults on the couch. If another chair/couple of ottomans were added there, it would be even more perfect.
This is my third time staying at Falling Waters. I absolutely love this place! It is very quiet and comfortable. It is clean and has everything you need for a weekend stay. This was a mom and daughter getaway. It was a first time for my mom and sister in law staying in a rental like this. They both loved it! My mom commented on how quiet it was with very little sound from the road and the peaceful sound of the waterfall in the backyard. She also enjoyed the kitchen as she loves to cook. The hot tub was very nice and we enjoyed sitting in it while it snowed. There were also tenants in the rental above us and we never knew they were there. I love seeing all of the improvements each year to the place! The new shower was wonderful! I was very happy to find a new, lightweight hot tub cover! It was easy for one person to remove and replace. There are new faucets in the kitchen and bathroom. The beds are comfortable. The space is comfortable. A second chair in the living room would be nice but the couch is big enough for 3 and a chair in the corner works for 4 people if you don't mind sitting close together. My friend who stayed with me 3 years ago left her stock pot behind accidentally and I did the same thing last year so, there are 2 stock pots there for your cooking fun! We brought them for cooking crab legs. Overall, this place is so nice. We always feel at home here! We hope to stay during the summer when the woods are green and we can enjoy the beautiful waterfall up close!
