This place embodies old school Nantucket/Madaket. Great location within walking distance of Millie’s and the Beach. If you want shiny new appliances and countertops this won’t be the place for you and there are plenty of other on island houses for that. This is the place your grandparents piled 8 kids into an old woody wagon and took off for the summer. There were no actual people to talk to about early check in, just a customer service line which wasn’t helpful. One of the window ACs leaked every time it was on but it was too hot to not have it on. There were ants all over the kitchen sink. While we stayed we got a mean note from a neighbor stuck in the door complaining about the radio antenna and about the yard brush pushed onto their property, which obviously have no knowledge of, so then we just felt like the neighbors were watching us and it made the stay uncomfortable. I wrote a complaint to Vacasa, the company who owned the property, and heard nothing back. ##### Laura D.
