Custom built house on a professionally designed acre+ of land on Nantucket in the town district. House (3280 sq. ft.) has large gourmet kitchen, beautiful living room with fireplace, large first floor primary bedroom with king bed and 3 large bedrooms on the second floor- one king, one queen and two twins. Full lower level family room, with queen bed, wet bar, full bath, and large TV, game room. There is a wrap around farmers porch off the living room. 15x30 ft heated swimming pool with large spa and fire pit. Pool has an auto-cover for safety. Outdoor shower. Ample parking for 3 cars. The house is set back from the dead end street and reached by a winding driveway through a wooded area. Wonderful safe play areas for kids and comfortable deck and patios for adults. We enjoyed the lovely outdoor furniture and pool area. The house was in a quiet location and had beautiful greenery on the grounds itself and in the surrounding area. The house was a solid 20 minute walk into town, so bikes and a car felt necessary. The house has a lived-in feel and the decor could use a refresh, but it was a clean and comfortable place. Of note would be that the bed in the basement is a pull out bed that is functional, but not the most comfortable sleeping arrangement for adults. The central A/C did work and there were additional window units throughout the house, but at times it was a struggle to get the house to cool down, especially upstairs and in the basement. We would recommend that the owners see if there is a better wifi solution as there were dead areas within and immediately surrounding the house, and we would encourage them to invest in new linens and towels.
