It was more like a boarding house. As the only guests, our “host” placed us into a very small room that could barely accommodate our luggage. The towels that weee provided had no absorbing power left in them, the shampoo bottles were used, half empty, and there was nobody to speak to in the evening. As per the Expedia ad, there was a pool available, free parking, and a gym. No such things were available. We had to pay 80 NIS per night for parking. After complaining about our room and the dirty kitchen, the host moved us to a larger room. At check in, the host proudly showed us the kitchen and told us that we were welcome to use it. The plastic tablecloths were filthy, there was no dish soap available, nor paper towels. The toaster oven was broken and the trash had not been emptied in who knows how long. It smelled awful! Not at all a luxury hotel, by American standards, but fine by Israeli standards. Clean and comfortable. Excellent location! The staff was extremely helpful at all times. The breakfasts were delicious. My only complaint was that it was too hot in the dining area. Moti, the owner, called the bus company and his wife drove her to the bus station to get her purse. We were able to keep our luggage in our room, at no charge, while waiting for the 1st train after Shabbat ends.
