There are 5 cottage in total, each cottage is similar to the others, but unique in its own way. My wife and I have been operating the SEA SPRAY COTTAGES OBX for vacations rentals since 2009\. We run a mom and pop operation, an experience from a day gone-bye but thoroughly enjoyed by our guests. Sea Spray Cottage #5 is perfect for those looking for a quaint space to enjoy time at the beach. It has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other bedroom has 2 twins. It has a comfortable living room with wide-screen TV, living room/dining area and wide galley kitchen. You will not believe how comfortable and charming it is until you spend some time there. If you are looking for a private getaway or to vacation with just your immediate family or just you and just your significant other, this is the place for you. Dogs are welcome, we try to keep it to 2 (it's primarily a cottage for folks- not a kennel). $125 for the first two and $100 each after that but you must let us know if beyond 2, PLEASE. The location can't be beat, the beach is just across the street and at about mile post 11.7 (just south of Nags Head Pier and north of Snow Bird's Soft Serve Ice Cream) where all that Nags Head has to offer is close by. The cottage has an awesome front porch with panoramic views. The porch is great for lounging and enjoying your favorite beverage as you watch the world go by as folks stroll, run and bike along the multi-use path that is across the street. The cottage also has an awesome back porch with a bistro table for morning coffee or an intimate dinner. Bed linens and towels NOT provided, but our assistant manager, Billy has a side gig where he can suite you up for a fee. Just ask for his number. Check in is at 4 and check out is at 10:00. If your desired dates of travel are not available in this cottage, we have 4 others. There are 5 cottages in total at Sea Spray Cottages OBX, all similar in vintage, but unique from one another. A lot of rentals in Nags Head are by the week, and we had some plans that fell through, so we needed a quick change. As soon as I booked it through VRBO, John was asking if i needed anything and was very welcoming. Upon arrival, the cottage was clean and comfortable. Very close to the beach and we could walk to ice cream shops. Grocery store was a quick drive. Bathroom was very nice and updated. Bedrooms were just right size for our family of four. We just needed to walk down the road about six houses to access the beach. Be sure to take your own bedding and linens. (Or pay $40 to have them supplied). It's one row off the beach and central in Nag's Head. The small fenced area was a bonus for the dog. With a few small upgrades, it would be a 5 star for me all the way around. The only reasons it's not a 5-star rating for me are: 1\. Having to pay $40 for sheets and towels for a 2 night stay. 2\. The mattress in the master is lumpy and needs to be replaced. 3\. No curtains in the bedrooms meant no sleeping in for anyone (there are blinds, but they aren't any good at blocking the light). 4\. No anti-slip mat in the shower. 5\. No extra pillows or blankets (we arrived during a spring storm and it was much chillier than expected, plus only one pillow per person seems a bit limited for such a generally upscale area/property). ##### catherine t. This our 4th time and the place was even more pristinely clean than last time. The rockers on the back deck had just been painted, and everything looked fresh. Sorry, I left my food in an insulated bag in the fridge when we left (My wife told me to check one last time... should have listened . . . oops). I hope somebody enjoys the Jim Beam!!! This place was perfect for us (2 adults, infant, and 2 dogs) and had everything we needed for a short vacation.
