Easily one of Cola Vaughan Realty's most popular cottages, Sound N Sea has beautiful ocean and beach views without the oceanfront price. The homeowners have taken every step to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay for their guests and you will find the home well-maintained, well-equipped, and very clean. The reverse floor plan (3 bedrooms and 2 baths downstairs and living/kitchen/dining upstairs) means you can easily come and go from the well-furnished top deck to the kitchen for drinks, snacks, or a TV break. When you are ready to hit the beach it is just steps away from your front door.
South Nags Head is arguably the best location on the Outer Banks for a family vacation. It is a totally residential area enveloped by the Cape Hatteras National Seashore yet is only minutes from a variety of retail and recreational outlets (Jennettes Pier, Tanger Outlet Mall, many restaurants). Families will find the quiet, low-traffic and non-commercial atmosphere relaxing yet appreciate how easy it is to drive to the grocery store, restaurants, the movie theater, or a putt-putt course. The large multi-use path that parallels Old Oregon Inlet Road for its 4.5 mile length and is great for running, biking, or walking. Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is a full service marina with boat ramps and is just a couple of miles south of Sound N Sea if you need a convenient location for offshore or inshore boating and fishing.

Great spot!

Very clean, very very good ocean views from second floor, upper deck, and lower deck. Would definitely book this property again. If you’re looking for beach front and quiet, this is the place. There are no restaurants or ice cream within walking distance, so be advised.

Christmas at Nags Head

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our stay here during the Christmas Holiday. The house has a great view of the ocean and is situated on the quieter end of Nags Head. I cooked most of the time because many restaurants were closed and would recommend a wider pot for sauces and stews instead of the taller pot provided…overall a Great house

Perfect location!

This was the perfect location with amazing views. The top deck was perfect to sit and watch the sunrise. The house was fully stocked and clean. The only downfall was having to bring your own sheets and towels unless you wanted to pay an extra fee for a linen service. We will be booking here again in the future.

Seaside Serenity

Sound and Sea was an ideal beach cottage for the final week of our three week road trip. The cottage’s location was perfectly located within a short walking distance to the ocean. The cottage was pristine and offered a view of the ocean from the deck. There were labels throughout the cottage to assist with finding items and giving helpful directions. We plan on staying at Sound and Sea again next year!! Thank you.

Sound N Sea has it all!

Sound N Sea had it all… a beautiful place, a wonderful location and a great view. By staying here we had the benefit of being close to just about everything that OBX has to offer plus the added luxury of retreating to a quiet (super clean) house with fabulous views of the ocean & beach. My family has stayed all over the Outer Banks (Duck, Avon, Ocracoke, Hatteras, and Frisco) and this is the 1st time we want to repeat a location. Can’t wait to go back!

Great Cottage with lovely views

The location and views were simply amazing. It was great to step out and go directly to the beach with our dogs. House was very clean and organized/stocked. You can tell the owners put a lot of love into this property. We have already booked our returning trip to this beautiful property next year and will continue to rent this home.
