This home features an open living and dining room floor plan, a fully-equipped kitchen complete with granite counters, stainless steel appliances (microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator), washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, fireplace, and ceiling fans. Six flat screen TVs, DVD player, Blu-ray, telephone, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include two king, two double, and two twin-over-double bunk bed sets. Two master suites have ocean views and private baths. The outdoor living space features a 26-by-13-foot private swimming pool, front porch, upper sun deck, third deck adjacent to the kitchen overlooking the pool, and Weber gas grill. The pool may be heated Labor Day through Memorial Day when temperatures are above 55°. The property offers access from both front and rear streets and ample parking for multi-family stays. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner. Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district. Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo. If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach. Looking for entertainment and attractions? Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. The house was lovely and the outdoor space was terrific. We found the beds to be very comfortable. My one concern is that upon arrival the cleaning crew had already finished, but the reality company wouldn’t let us into the property because we were waiting on it to be “inspected”. We had been traveling all day and had small children that needed to use the bathroom. I can understand not getting in the cleaners way but that wasn’t the case. When the inspector did show up he said to us “do you really need me to inspect it?” Which honestly, no we didn’t but we had been waiting about 30 minutes at that point. When I spoke to the reality company on the phone prior to the inspector showing up to see if there was anyway to get inside just to use the bathroom they were unhelpful. To be clear this all took place between 3:30-4:00pm. We didn’t show up hours before check in. My best advice - don’t show up even a little before check-in because you will just be sitting outside. ##### AnnaMae M. The house was spacious and well-stocked with essentials. However, we encountered a few issues. The pool wasn't heated, and two steps on the back porch kept breaking due to poor wood quality. We contacted maintenance twice, and they resolved the step issue. Unfortunately, the dishwasher wasn't functional, so we had to wash dishes by hand. Additionally, the dryer left burn marks on clothes, so we stopped using the washer and dryer altogether. Despite these issues, we appreciated the location and size of the house. ##### Melissa S. Reviewer Comments: We travelled with our 2 young kids, aged 3 and 5\. Along with another family and their 2 kids, aged 5 and 6\. We found the house absolutely perfect for us. The layout was great, we felt like we had our own personal space if we wanted it, and we were not living on top of each other. The pool was excellent, the kids could stay in it all day, but personally I would have liked it a little warmer temperature. We brought the kids bikes, and the large driveway was a great place to for them to ride, while we sat on the patio and enjoyed our time as well! The beach was nice and close and very private. We walked down the beach to the pier, finding lots of shells along the way. Once we got there, we saw a man catch a baby shark, he was very nice showing it to the kids.That was a highlight for sure! There was a nice pizza place down the road that we walked to one night for supper, we mostly drove into myrtle beach for the evenings, which was a 20 min. drive. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a good location and the kids loved the pool. It could use a new carpet, some more light bulbs, & minor updates. I think the fridge leaks too.
